I was thinking about something while reading this post: I wonder how Apple will do Multiple Thunderbolt ports on the New Mac Pro for 2013. I mean check these specs out and then I'll finish. USB 3.0 SATA III, 6.0 Gbs 128 GB RAM Max 1600 MHz RAM 2 processors 8 cores each 3.2 GHz (probably around 2.9-3.2) GHz, Turboboost to 4.0-4.3 GHz 16 cores, 32 virtual cores PCIExpress 3.0 10/100/1000 Ethernet Now here is the trick part how would Apple do the Video...
I must be losing it.   Is next generation IP, next generation iPhone?  I haven't really heard that acronym.  Can't find any reference other that next Generation network, but it's not an internet protocol chip.  Internal Processor?  Integrated Process?  Some sites say, next generation ip services are iCloud services?  I am lost...   Please explain what that means, would like to know.   Thanks   I guess integrated processor... duh??
I had no display on my Sony HDTV 52". To make a long story short, somehow the firmware update "zapped" my TV. Seriously. After messing with VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc I said wait, and tried my laptop that didn't work either. Then I went and tried the macmini in the bedroom with the 46" Sony, viola, worked. So then I am like what... I get back around to the front room where the 52" is, and turn on my playstation 3. That didn't show up. Bugger. Weird thing tho is the...
Well very very bad news, I just got thru installing the MacMini Firmware Update 1.2, and now: I get no display I only get 4 resolutions (via Screen Sharing). DisplayConfigX won't successfully launch... in order to remove it... I am unplugging and plugging back in to get signal but no luck... Trying to uninstall DisplayConfigX manually... Will report back if anything changes this BREAK Laters...
Here is something to think about, I think. When I was watching The Golden Compass I thought how cool the Alethiometer was. It dawned on me tho, that we live in a crazy world. Here is this world (fictional) but none the less, where there is technology and magic, but there is this one special device that tells the truth. My issue that we live in a crazy world is that on earth everyone has an Alethiometer of sorts. When I look at my MacBook, or even an iPhone. We...
I did a 10.6 install on my MacMini connected to my Sony 52". I was wondering if displayconfigx would work/carryover or what. I use a dvi to component adapter so I thought this might be useful to some. I inserted the 10.6 update and did an update without restart. The update didn't work with my dvi adapter at first. I had to resort to breaking out my mini-dvi to hdmi adapter to see the install after I rebooted. Cause I couldn't get any video. This wasn't due to...
So if I have a Mac Pro, and the kernel is 32-bit, will an individual app be able to access more than 4 GBs of ram? like say 14 or even 30 or so GBs if I have it? I'd really like to know about this, thanks... Laters...

Here is my thing, I have been using my Black 2006 MacBook religiously like this: 1. Startup in the morning around 9:00 am, 2. sleep wake sleep wake wash rinse and repeat the whole day till... 3. Around 11:00 pm a full shutdown at night. Then a full repeat of 1, 2, and 3, everyday for the past 2 years +. I have a new idea, because I have a serious routine I go thru, setting up my work environment, that takes about 45 minutes to an hour every day in the morning...
Best thing to do especially in your web browser, is, if you still install Adobe Acrobat, to disable the plug-in in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/. I just usually compress mine, and trash the original, that way I can use Apple's default PDF Viewer which doesn't crash. Laters...
