Ok, I know this is totally off topic, but the article on the AI homepage titled "MacMall offers huge savings on iMacs, MacBooks and MacBook Pros" is kinda weirding me out.... first of all, when did AI become an advertise-first news outlet (seems like a risk to journalistic integrity), but really, considering apple's reluctance to allow anyone to have sales, it is somewhat justifiable as news. The bigger thing is that there is no discussion forum attached -- when I...
I wonder whether its a good or bad sign that predicted stock prices are starting to look like long-term goals rather than old news. Considering their growth in previous years, you'd think they'd be moving up faster with all the market share they've gained in mac sales, plus the iphone. Another year or two of 2-3 fold increases and I could have bloody well retired on aapl alone (I am still holding on to my stake, I'm not a dummy)!

On the other hand, I would be surprised if buying technology from an infringer is illegal - it seems to me that it would take an incredible amount of resources and raise the cost of technology to require companies check all potentially applicable patents on items that they buy...
This is in reference to borg_drone add Wayland part of the freedom of speech is the freedom to not speak. I would appreciate it if both of these posters would exercise that freedom. As for Eisner's comments -- if the online system isn't profitable, then simply offer a profit-sharing deal to writers -- for ever $ made, X amount is paid.... I wonder why the studios aren't offering that.... couldn't be due to a lack of willingness to share profit, could it -- there...
