no, those of us with a lot of common sense just never put ANY phone in our back pocket at all, let alone sit on it.
nah, just bitter basement boys.
Big Picture:   All the trumped up FUD articles and Apple-product-bashing TV ads are having the exact opposite impact than Samsung, MS, and the rest of their sponsors want - they have clearly identified Apple products as the ones to beat in the public's mind. $Billions worth of free publicity. and so when people actually get their hands on one and see how damned good it really is, they want it.
yup. buy it's hard to tell the difference between the paid fakes and the bitter basement boys.
the $100 price chop to the G4 launch price from last year's G3 launch price is the real news here. of course the G3 was soon heavily discounted too, but for SS to admit it can't compete with iPhone at same "premium" price levels from day 1 is a brutal adminisstion of defeat. and a brutal profit margin killer too that will hit them hard as they sink further into the 'race to the (Android) bottom.'   meanwhile, Apple has cleverly enticed most iPhone buyers to 'buy up' to a...
iPhone 6/Plus + iOS 8 = the Android Killer.   and the new better than ever iPads aren't even here yet ...   NB: it's impossible to overstate the dramatically growing importance of security in consumers' minds - especially those with assets to protect. the reports of massive credit card breaches and identifity theft and web attack sites etc. etc. just keep on coming. Cook hit the ball out of the park with his Security statement backed up with Touch ID, Apple Pay, etc....
nobody can ever satisfy a crybaby. if you don't want it, don't click on it.
too bad DED did not pick up (yet) on the snob blather from the high-end fashion watch people in Europe. except from their literal jewelry - diamond studded watch cases etc which Apple does not compete with - their high-end brand-ID product demand is about to collapse as the APhone becomes the latest status symbol of a digital era. what are they going to sell to their trendy buyers under 40? an Android anything? a Samsung Rolex? Hah!
agreed. but media was full of headlines the next day about how iTunes users hated having U2 shoved on them without anyone even bothering to check facts about how the downloading actually works - with click affirmation required for download. that's about as bad as it gets.
actually, this U2/Apple freebie may prove to generate the all time high of piss-ant spoiled two year old whiner pants wetting ever heard on the internet.   don't want it? just don't go into your Purchased menu on the iTunes store page and click on it. oh poor poor me! that is so hard not to do!! oh the existential pain. oh they are so forcing me!!! mommy, help!   don't like the Classic u2 sound? too old! no problem, you got the 20+ hit bands today that sell millions...
