Apple should give up on this mess. All the houses on my street look like they've melted in the midday sun. Road overlays don't match up with satellite images. Huge areas of towns/villages are totally obscured by clouds; it's horrible. As much as I loath Google, when launched Google Earth was one of the best uses of the WWW I had seen. Maps fails miserably at it's raison d'être.
That $365,000,000 was rather a waste of money. I thought Apple would do something clever with the technology; such as the user having to tap in a pattern of four (or so) different prints in a sequence of their choosing which would result in a far more complex (and secure) lock.
P.s. If they didn't patent this idea I'm releasing it for free.
This may not be illegal but it is unethical. The UK has a welfare system and a fantastic National Health Service (all medical care free at source). As a British national I would prefer Apple to respect our welfare system and the cost of running it. You may not have such luxuries in the USA but the majority of our country is proud of our ability to help everyone regardless of wealth or income.
