Did the CEOs of both companies meet to discuss the take over?
Old Applications and applications from third parties will not be recompiled. And at that time Apple switched to a much faster CPU (same when they switched from 68K to PPC).
What are you talking about? Running X86 code on ARM? It will crawl...
And they had to write off $900 million for that bad idea. No, Broadwell will have to face the Cyclone successor.I think they meant it can now handle desktop class applications.
As you can read in the article OWC used a Xeon E5-2667 V2 which has a base clock of 3.3GHz and a turbo clock of 3.6 - 4.0GHz. Apple uses the E5-1680 v2 with base clock of 3.0GHz and a turbo clock of 3.4 - 3.9GHz.It's not overclocked, it's just clocked faster by default... As for the CPU upgrade path: There is no Ivy Bridge-EP planed with more cores than 12 and it's unlikely that something faster than the E5-2697 v2 will appear that's still 130W TDP. But there are plenty of...
problem with it.Apple is in good company with others who are lacklustre for WS analysts as they are delivering high earnings year after year after year….
You meant the "argumentum ad hominem"?THAT is an argumentum ad hominem @toysandmeThe laws of physics don't take a break, but some people obviously have no clue what they are!
To not introduce a new Mac Pro when SandyBridge-E(P) came out was completely Apples fault!Intel introduced the CPU line in Q4 2011. And the current modell will not accept DDR4 DIMMs but it may accept registered DDR3 DIMMs.
That was an IBM guy, not Bill Gates. If you think about upgrading the CPU: Apple only uses 130W max. TDP versions.
As evasiOn7 1.0.1 is avialable w/o TaiG since yesterday I'm not sure what this article is about...
