i have no doubt that apple has G5's with the new IBM cpu in them and have for a while now. the only problem is IBM didnt have the fab capabilities that apple required. which is why IBM just started building that new fab plant earlier...

apple makes their money on their Hardware. but ppl buy the hardware because of the OS and apps. apple could get away with "cutting some corners" on their hardware cause the hardware isnt what ppl paying less than 1000 bucks...
