Google Voice was not developed with the iPhone as a target for competition. It just so happens that Google Voice offers things the iPhone does not on its own; it is a compelling and free product that Apple is too scared to allow as fair competition.
#1 Obama says in the video that he thinks single-payer is the best idea. Obama says that "we've never pushed for a public option/single payer system as the main health 'reform'". That is not a contradiction. Not only that, but the supposed lie isn't even an actual quote. #2 Obama has no control over whether or not your employer will keep existing private plans. If you assume that he initially meant that he would make sure that no plans ever changed and took the power to...
This was common knowledge at the time; too obvious to deny rationally. It's funny, though, how little we care about the blatant manipulation of death fears.
They sure would, so what's your point? Where does this train of thought end?
It doesn’t require objective measurement.Every 2 years.Voting citizens.People go into voting booths and select the candidates that best represent them and what they want done.Right now those who vote on government-funded healthcare are not the ones paying the taxes that pay for it. That’s a huge problem and accounts for a great deal of waste and mismanagement of taxpayer dollars. If the 49% want to be pouting, whining babies, then I guess so. They could just work with the...
Citizen satisfaction versus cost.(Examples: police, schools, etc...)Voters.Taxpaying citizens make little effort to have a voice in Medicare/Medicaid, because taxpaying citizens aren't involved with it.And again, we have a single-minded focus on efficiency, which is just one part of a healthy system.Voters.You would advocate an end to medical research done in universities?Jesus Christ, think about what you say before you say it.We need to:- Dilute pharmaceutical patent...
How? By slightly reducing the expense?McCain’s plan might make it easier for a small number of people to get health insurance, but it doesn’t address the larger problem. This isn’t about Barack Obama. The fact that you frame it in that partisan light tells me all I need to know about your ability to discuss this issue rationally.
This is more like the guy I voted for. Obama needs to keep getting out there and breathing fire. We voted the Democrats in because we want universal healthcare. We can get it and actually pay for it, unlike the policies of the man who just finished the last of his two terms on the backs of voters who have only now found some kind of fiscal conscience. It's fucking absurd.
I'm not going to address each thing individually since I have so many dance partners...Longevity is definitely an issue when it comes to the provision of vital services. Efficiency is not the sole consideration, though it certainly is a consideration given legitimate concerns about the government's ability to efficiently manage a health insurance plan.First, we have to abandon all this nonsense about this being some kind of spiritual battle of good versus evil, or even a...
Exactly, which is why the "private is better" mindset is meritless. Yes, government can be wasteful. So can private industry, and one could very easily argue that private industry is more wasteful and less capable of surviving. No, I assume that efficiency is possible only with survival. Private businesses generally don't survive; government programs do.If we have one basic plan that every citizen qualifies for and it is run by state governments, under federal regulation,...
