The lack of a high-def display on the new 13” MBPs and the info in Lion that point to double resolution displays tells me that Apple held off for the 13” MBPs because these are the highest sellers and they want their next release with the MBA-like case change and removable of the CD/DVD drive to have this new double density display, which means the update will come after Lion is released. Perhaps even soon after to help showcase the new features. I’m guessing this MBP...
Where is the rumor that Apple is building a plant to build SoCs out a solid block of metal?
I somewhat disagree with this. I don’t think the Xoom has great specs, I think they some great specs, but have dropped the ball in so many other spec areas that make the experience bad. Besides no LTE card (which will require the consumer to ship to Moto on their dime and wait 8(?) weeks for it to be returned), a non-functioning SD card, and no Flash, they also use a crappy display panel type, even though the PPI is a little higher than the iPad’s PPI. I think it’s clear...
You think because they have the keyboard and display in the same place and size they are the not different? Check out the previous MBA to the new 11” MBA? Can you not see a difference? Since the 11” is new size that to me screams a redesign. Check out the profile of the old and new MBAs. Does the tapered sizes not scream redesign? What about the ports on both sides compared to the previous MBA with a trap door for everything buy the MagSafe connector? They are completely...
They still didn’t ban it from the Mac. They removed it from their OS and their apps as they stopped supporting it, but they haven’t banned it from the Mac. You are more than welcome to download those OSes and apps that require it, find or build an emulator, and then run it to your heart’s desire.
That’s a completely different situation. Apple couldn’t just use incremental display resolutions without negatively affecting themselves, developers and customers (something that plagues Android), yet they were already behind the curve using the same display resolution for 3 years running. They didn’t just pull Retina Display out of their collective ass, they planned for it. Additional NAND is a completely beast. You can add more and it’s only affects costs. I surely hope...
I’m sure he meant XXX as in porn, not the Roman numerals for 30.
It might finally be feasible for Apple to increase the capacity but there is still no competition that is forcing Apple to do so as no one else is able to sell a 64GB smartphone. Heck, you’re lucky to get more than one capacity option from competitors phones. They instead charge you just as much for the same capacity as the cheaper iPhone, but then claim they offer an microSD card with 2Mb/s and want you to pay an excessive fee for that inconvenience upon inconvenience....
They invented this thing called power management a long time ago. You should check out the iPad and MBAs, they can left in sleep mode for a month and still instantly come back to life to be used. You should check how modern and not so modern computers use power. You’re acting like all these Macs run Stuxnet at night to maximize power usage. Crazy!
Where is the article update? Usually they add the update part way trough the article. I humbly request that AI writers add the update to the end of the article or use a different text color or underline to point out where changes were made if they are going to note in the title that it’s been updated.I think think this has to be the GSM/UMTS version of the iPhone, just like KT has, who also uses a CDMA(2G)/UMTS(3G) network. Only LG in S. Korea is still using...
