Exactly.  Government drones are getting more and more plentiful and what the people have to fear is not google and Apple but the extent to which the government is invading privacy.
Dear Apple,   Please fight that DOJ antitrust suit to the end.  It needs somebody with enough cash to stand up to the government and tell it to get the ***** out of the markets.  there is nothing inherently better or worse about the agency model as opposed to Amazon's and nothing "conspiratorial" about persuading the publishers to use the agency model.  These regulators are way over-reaching.  Punch them in the face!
Apple doesn't avoid tax.  It merely chooses in which jurisdicition to place its taxable activities.  Why should the US want all of the tax to the exclusion of the rest of the workd?  Pure greed, that's why.
Apple sells its products everywhere in the world and directly and indirectly employs thousnad of people all over the world.  They have offices all over the world.  They pay taxes in countries spread around the world.  Why do the Americans think they have the right to collect all of the world's taxes in USA , deprive other countries of tax revenue and risk increasing the price for us consumers everywhere else?   This is not Apple's issue.  This is a geo-political...
Why do so many Americans think they have a right to be paid a profit just because something doesn't live up to their personal expectations? Talk about gaming the system! If the Siri ads are "misleading", every single soap, cosemtics, food and appliance ad in the entire world is misleading. They obviously aren't aware of the legal concept of "advertiser's puff"....
The problem is the patent office issues patents for ideas that are manifestly not innovative. I mean "store files centrally and keep a database of who owns them and should get paid for them?" That''s accounting 101!!
After so many sensible comments, mine is probably redundant but I have to say it! Talk about putting the cart before the horse - the effect as the cause! Are Intuit REALLY so dumb as to believe that the Mac version only needs to support simple accounting because that's all the users use???!!! Can they REALLY not see that the only users are small businesses because the programme doesn't support any other kind of user. I, for one, would be using it if it had all the...
At last multi-user! But where on earth is multi-currency? Hasn't QB heard of globalization? No accounting program in this day and age can expect to be taken seriously without multi-currency capability. If Filemaker can make a totally consistent database across Windows and Mac, surely QB should have the resource to do likewise... I would really like to use QB for Mac. I bought the previous version and liked it as far as it goes - but it just doesn't go anywhere...
It seems to me that this law suit is actually an illegal conspiracy between Amazon and the law firm concerned to stifle the open competion provided by Apple. How can it be "conspiracy" to provide an open agency market place where sellers can set their own prices independently of all other sellers and buyers can choose to buy or not?
Why do so many Americans think they are doing something useful by rushing to court with a class action at the slightest little human error? Like the recent claim that members of the class of iPhone owners would not have bought if they had "known that Apple is tracking them". And asking for damages. This was before there was even a response from Apple but after many people were already saying it was a bug that would get fixed. If they don't like their iPhone, stop...
