While I think this is somewhat of an overreach on Bezos' part, I know that removing all advertising from content is a mistake on Apple's part. That could be a big reason they are not able to secure as much content as they need to make...

I like the idea of being able to pre-scan for self check out. Too bad they aren't up to emailing the receipt, now that is killer!
