I think the biggest reason people are purchasing Android phones is that iPhone is in it's third year, and it's probably the most exposed phone ever. I think people sometimes just want something different than what they have known for the past 3 years. It may even be that people who have an iPod Touch want to try something else for a phone.
And of course, every pirated app would have been purchased if it wasn't pirated.
I also have the pixel issue, but I assumed it was a way of hiding code in the bootup image that causes it.
Edit: Wow I feel dumb, I must have clicked the hyperlink for another article while reading this one. My bad.
There is an updated mobile terminal online that hasn't been added to cydia yet, but you don't need to worry if you haven'y installed open SSH. If you're on a Mac you can change it by plugging your iPhone into the computer and doing it through terminal on the Mac.
Just plug it into your computer and have iTunes open and hold the home button, and it should let you restore. If that doesn't work, use the following link bellow. http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034Also, next time don't exit out of safari while it's doing it's thing, I'm assuming thats what happened to you as it would seem something interrupted the jailbreak process for you.
Better?
2 Good reasons right there.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8XJNcGk7uk
Can't permanently brick your iPhone with jailbreaking, but waiting for a new iOS jailbreak is good none the less.
Jailbreak works great, no problems here except for some "broken pixels" on respring which aren't really broken. To bad so few packages support iOS4 and none support the retina display yet. Not to mention all the repositories are getting overloaded. Good times are coming though.
