For those saying there were watches sold out from the beginning - did you order through the website or the apple store app?  The app allowed for ordering a few minutes before the website, so I'd guess the app orders gobbled up the launch day watches. The app has been faster for ordering for the last few product launches.
Luckily I thought back to my last iPhone ordering experience and decided to try the app for ordering right after 12:01 - went through fast, except about a 30 second delay when using Apple pay. Nabbed a 38mm blue Sport, shipped 4/24-5/8.  Then I went to go back to order a black sport for my boyfriend, because it's just not as much fun if only one of us has it, but the ship time is already out till June...eh....
I wish they'd done an ad. It is a lot of money for one ad - but I wouldn't say it's a waste. The Super Bowl is the one and only time when I have to pause the tv if someone goes to the bathroom - because everyone wants to watch the ads. It's the only time, ever, all year, where the ads aren't ignored or fast-forwarded through. So I'd say it's the best advertising money a company can spend all year -which is exactly why the cost is so high. In any case, I also wish they'd...
Oh, geez. I mentioned my products and stock to show that I obviously am not an Apple hater, and wasn't just posting lies, as the first reply seemed to assume. As far as cause for recourse, I was providing more info to explain my initial statement. I wouldn't even call it recourse. I'm not implying they are all failures either. In any case, the third replacement, for reception issues, was the Apple genius's suggestion - not mine. I went there for a cable, they asked how...
hehe. Thanks for the backup.  :)  The wifi on mine seems pretty good, but I have noticed that it hasn't been automatically switching from the network to wifi when it used to do so 100% reliably on my iPhone 4.  So I am a little concerned about that, because I don't want to go over my data.  I'm gonna wait it out for now and start tracking how often it's really happening and hope a software update will fix it sometime soon.   And this is pretty petty - not a complaint...
Geez, when people talk about Apple rabbid fanboys, I guess I know who they're referring to now. I never mentioned anything negative about the iPhone. I only stated a fact - I'm on my 4th iPhone 5 in the last 2 weeks.    I own an iPod shuffle, an iPod touch, and iPhone, and iPad 3rd gen, and iPad mini, and an iMac. And I own Apple stock. I also have various old Macs strewn about my house at the moment. I have used Macs and Apple products for about 15 years now, and I...
Yeah, this seems to be true. It took me weeks to find an Apple store with the iPhone 5 in stock. And now that I have one, the 3 times I had to go in over the last 2 weeks and exchange my iPhone for problems, they had a new one ready every time!
Apple needs to put out Facetime for Windows, period. I don't understand why they're waiting so long...I use Skype because no one I know has a Mac, but if they could use Facetime on their PCs, I could convince all of them to switch. And I really don't see Facebook and Facetime pairing up. If Apple strike a deal with Facebook to get Ping going - not encouraging.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't know why anyone would want to watch anything of any decent length - like a movie - on YouTube. I can't even get YouTube to play a 3-minute cat video without pausing to load (which rarely happens in any other streaming media player I use - iTunes, Netflix, or ABC's player on the iPad).
Since I finally just got an iPhone 4, I hope this rumor is true!
