How come apple say it last up to 10 hours ? I tried in different situations, the maximum time was 6 hours with the lowest brightness and wifi off ,blue tooth off , can anybody tell me that my laptop has problem or it is normal ?

I have bought a macbookpro 13 inch last week. I got a very important question and I didn't find the answer in the forum. to recharge the battery, I have to wait till the battery gets empty completely or it doesn't matter ?
