The Gizmodo review is actually pretty negative.  They clearly like W8 better.  I do as well, but I can't give Giz any credit because they've been anti-Apple ever since Apple smacked them down for the iPhone 4 leak.
Of course it's broken.  The system is so frakked up, This American Life had to devote an entire show to the subject.   http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/441/when-patents-attack   You're probably one of the patent trolls we're talking about.  Or someone who represents them.
I'm guessing the pent up demand is due to the fact the rest of the world upgraded to 4G and larger screens 2 years ago?
I believe Google is saying, in a roundabout way, that the patent system is terribly broken, and is stifling innovation.   For the people saying Google should get out of the business, keep dreaming.  If it wasn't for Android, iOS6 wouldn't have new maps, notifications, NFC, larger screen, and a bunch of other things innovated on Android.  Competition is good, and since Android is the #1 smartphone platform, Apple clearly has some competing to do.   Advantage:...

This fall we are going to see an iPhone with a larger screen and an iPad with a smaller screen. Steve was brilliant, but not infallible.
I never liked AT&T.  I will probably leave them for Sprint this fall after the new iPhone is released and if there's LTE in my area.
I've had a DOT ME email address (firstname@lastname.me) for several years now, but can't use it with iCloud (without setting up a convoluted forwarding scheme) because iCloud doesn't support custom domains.  Forget the fact that Google and Microsoft have offered this FREE for years.   GOOGLE: http://www.google.com/enterprise/apps/business/pricing.html MICROSOFT: http://domains.live.com And also forget the fact that as the iDevices gain in popularity, the available...
Her move is like quitting an assistant manager's position at Macy's to be a manager at Walmart.   Yeah she might be in charge now, but I wouldn't brag about it.
