It's prob worth mentioning that the computer seems to work fine just browsing the web. Its only when i use it for real work (pro tools) or trying to boot from cd that i'm having these problems. Cheers R

This is out of warranty so i'm really hoping its a ram issue and not the mother board. I guess the next step is to try some new ram on it before assuming the motherboard's had it? Could it still be the ram even with memtest not detecting...
