It is hard to even imagine a google store. At least MS makes revenue on licenses. It isn't inconceivable that Google could work out deals with hardware partners to make some revenue on sales, but with the limited success that MS had (even with license revenue,) and the difficulties of Best Buy et al in the consumer electronics space, why would anyone be led to believe Google is working on this? Far more likely would be an AndroidMarket.com or some other applestore.com...
With regard to my phrasing, I am only saying it's qualified as a coloquial usage (and there isn't anything wrong with that.) To evaluate some truth value, though, you would have to develop, or invoke, some specialized usage of the phrase "I see no other" that would be applied retroactively, which would be difficult to justify as it was not your expression, or mine, but his (and his intention is anyone's guess.) I think we should agree that "I see no other" does not mean...
I think it is fair to say, colloquially, that he was "expressing a great degree of certainty." Note, though, that this is ambiguous in terms of formal logic, in the same way that "a great degree of dead" would be, (that is, you can be dead or not dead, certain or not certain; this is a "light switch;" on or off, yes or no, true or false) but in casual use "a great degree of certainty" does have a use which we are familiar with.More to the point, SolX usually has something...
The statements, "I don't see how all that stuff is going to fit in your mini van" and "It is impossible to fit all that stuff in your mini van" are not saying the same thing. They just aren't. "I don't see" implies that something might not be seen that allows for an alternate possibility. "I don't see how he could have made it from Berlin to Paris in that amount of time." -- "I believe he took a high speed train." -- "Oh, that seems reasonable. I hadn't thought of...
Odd that they used an iPhone 5 image when the update is only relavent to the 4S.
Eh. I have the high end 11" MBA from mid 2011, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't trade it for a Surface Pro, (or top of the line iPad, for that matter.) That said, you CAN compare a Surface Pro to an iPad or MBA, and those comparisons are going to yield different strength/weakness tables. I think it will be interesting to see what people do with it, and if perhaps there isn't a use case that it hits on the head. Some people might use Win 8 apps and want a device that can...
As things are now, someone could write down your credit card info and enter it manually into almost any POS without difficulty; this does not pose any novel security risks.
This is beyond stupid, it is a degradation of the platform. Now anything that might POSSIBLY contain nudity is being kicked out of the app store? So Apple thinks it is more important to protect porn junkies from themselves (an aim they will absolutely never succeed in) than let those of us who AREN'T looking for nude pictures use a service for whatever else it might do? What a bunch of idiots.
That's probably a pragmatic position...Which is depressing. Our financial system is a hopelessly rigged game; with one party in the pockets of corporations and one party in the pockets of the hedge fund managers it makes sense that our economy is a senseless schizophrenic. It would be pretty fantastic at this point if it just sort of worked, but beyond that, wouldn't it be a trip if you could, ya know, invest in companies that you genuinely wanted to see succeed; ones that...
I'm sure you'd have no problem finding pictures of horrendous violence. God forbid someone see a nipple. Wankers.
