If you haven't seen it yet check out Engadget's post about possible Tablet photo.http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/27/i...-apple-tablet/ Also
Just to throw out an interesting tidbit that hasn't been mentioned here from what I have read. AMD is buying ATI. http://www.appleinsider.com/article.php?id=1907 http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/hardw...azy-189382.php In case you guys didn't know Intel's "on board" graphics system (in systems like the Mac Book) is built by ATI. There were some claiming that Intel was killing the use of ATI on there systems because of the merger, but it doesn't appear to be true, for...
I don't know if others saw this or not but I found it very interesting. Do they know something we don't. From the Silerado Systems email/web site:http://www.silverado.cc/intel.html
I was kind of thinking the same thing until I read this article: Intel's New Direction From the article:
RED's never made any camera before. The forth coming RED camera is suppose to be a pro level video camera. The company was created by the founder of Oakley sunglasses. He's supposedly a camera nut, and is building the company from the ground up. "An Interview with Jim Jannard""
I don't know how many of you guys have heard the new podcast "This Week in Media", but the guys on that show were prognosticating that we will see a Dual Quad Core Intel Pro Mac at NAB. In other words an 8 proc PowerMac! They also talked about the $10K Final Cut Extreme, and that the new system would have dual video cards to support it. If this isn't just pure speculation and we see this system. I will be the first in line to pick up one of these workhorse...
Sorry to say, but hardware is one of, if not the biggest keys to Motion. As I said before it uses the graphics hardware and texture/video memory to the max. All of the technical Apple people I have talked with say that you really need a G5 with an ATI Radeon 128MB Pro card to take full advantage of Motion. After seeing two different demos now I would have to agree. Let me elaborate a bit more. Motion is using the realtime hardware graphics pipeline of a Mac and OpenGL...
I will be ordering it as soon as it is available. I took a look at it at NAB, and then again at a special even I was invited to. It will rock IMHO. Yes, you will be able to set up custom keyframes. If you have a Wacom tablet you can do some very cool things. If you can go to one of these events I would definitely go to get a look at Motion. Here is a link to the Apple seminars.Apple Moving Post-Production Forward Seminar Motion will take up lost of CPU, but the more...
If you want one of the best reviews currently out there that covers all the cell providers, the phones they offer, and info about their services check out the new magazine called Cargo. In the premiere issue they run down all the companies and what they have. Definitely one of the best breakdowns I have read covering all the providers. - G in the S
You have actually figured out one of the biggest tricks to good keying with digital video. Using green screen NOT blue. Most DV cameras destroy the blue channel and make it VERY hard to key out blue screens (I know from first hand pain). Green is much easier to work with when filming with DV. Second, if you want a GREAT keying program that works with FCP or FCE check out the new DV Matte Pro from http://www.dvgarage.com/. I purchased this plug-in about a month ago and...
