Happened to me too after about a month, went by the store and they replaced it on the spot with a brand new sealed iPhone. No questions asked.
Sucked I had to deal with it, but you can't beat the exchange policy. They didn't even talk...

Well, at the rate they're going right now (1 million iPhones in ~74 days), that equals about 4.9 million iPhones in 2008. They better step it up a lil bit, dropping the price was a good start, but what's next?
