Well it will start European time 18.OO according to www.macgeneration.com. have a quick (perhaps stupid) question, When I watch DVD on my Powerbook 15" does it automaticaly produce video in 480p or is it 480i or another format? thanks for feedback

I think the video iPod is not likely. I don't see the point of it yet, there aren't many media that support it, to make it profitable. Apple knows it better then we do, they have there own research teams to analyse this. My gut says no video iPod. When was the last time a one more thing… was an iPod. I think it might have been once, but all the other times it was mac related. My 2 cents ( for the first time)
Well one of those providers of digital TV wants to broadcast the worldcup in HDTV. The reason i got hooked on HD is because of the recent HD movies that have been in cinema, like starwars looked brilliant and all those new technologies like you said ( bluray, HDDVD,…) are just a year away. They will be expensive but, after some time they will become cheaper. I have got another link about new kind of TV for next year, quite interesting....
