Apple A10 iPhone 7 speeds past Samsung Galaxy S8, Google Pixel, LG G6 & BBK 3T (with 2x RA...

That reality is reflected in the Galaxy S8's inability to launch common apps and then switch between them as rapidly, even with 50 percent more RAM than the iPhone. Samsung's Android Galaxy S8 took 7:40 minutes to follow the iPhone 7 Plus through tasks that took iOS less than 3:20 minutes.
Galaxy S8 has 100% more RAM than the iPhone 7 Plus, not 50% more.

I thought I had lost my AirPods a couple of weeks ago - until I found them on the bottom of my washing machine, after a 40 minute cycle at 40C/105F. They worked perfectly (and of course they’re nice and clean too)!
Nevertheless I suppose I should recommend not to do this intentionally...

iPhone XR demand reportedly forcing Apple to cut production expansion plans
Guys... this exact same story ran last year, but about the X. Why are we amplifying their voice, again? Nikkei was one of the worst offenders in the groupthink of analysts looking at the supply chain to make a wild guess about iPhone orders. I know there are a lot of caveats at the end of the article, but it seems like not even acknowledging their existence might be more satisfying. Lol -
Apple CEO Tim Cook cites GOP tax reform as driver in $350B US investment
eliangonzal said:What bullshit.
This is not "tax reform" on any level. This is a payday loan that YOU PEOPLE will need to pay back at 110% interest. Apple's effective tax rate is close to zero now and none of that is coming your way: you will not see an iMac Pro now starting at $1599 and $299 iPhones. Oh, and by the way: with the last two big tax cuts in the 80s and Bush, wages went NOWHERE. They did not rise. Hell, you all got a bigger tax cut in 2009 to offset the Great Recession, though most people, especially phony libertarian techie boyz don't believe they got one. Can't wait to for the parsing of paychecks in February to find that average $18.
I look forward to the furrowed brows of Americans in a vain attempt to understand things when they start filing their 2018 taxes next year. You people have been ripped off.

Apple's Mac refresh includes universal drop in SSD upgrade prices
imat said:Just bought an iMac with SSD. Can I get a refund of the price difference (bought a week ago)?
it’s a serious question. I know you can send it back if a new model comes out in two weeks after purchase. I wonder if it applies also to price reductions. -
