  • Tim Cook confirms Apple Music's 50 million users, push into TV and movies

You can't compare the 8 year start of Spotify vs Apple, because the streaming market wasn't near what it is today 8 years ago. Spotify did all the hard legwork, Apple jumped in once the market was ready and really didn't have to do all that much work to compete.

  • Editorial: Bloomberg spins Apple's Event as a desperate, blind stab for cheap iPads in edu...

Listen to Rene Ritchie’s recent Vector podcast with Bradley Chambers. Apple has work to do in the education sector. DED can spin all he wants but Chromebooks and Google’s G Suite are winning in the classroom. Probably one reason why Apple is having an education focused event. I actually don’t expect hardware to be announced at this event. My guess is it will be software focused.
I'd rather pull my kid out of school than allow the likes of Google to data mine them and turn them into products like they have almost all living people on the planet.
Enough of the hyperbole. You'd rather pull your kid from school than to have them educated? Also Google doesn't data mine education Chromebooks, maybe you should actually ready their privacy terms for the education market. So maybe you should do some research and stop listening to people like DED who will spin anything and everything to favour Apple no matter what.

  • Google said to be eyeing purchase of 'Pixel 2' manufacturer HTC's smartphone division to c...

They're looking to buy HTC because HTC is struggling and because of Google's new ambitions to be in control of their own hardware this would be a good strategic move. This really has nothing to do with the iPhone 8.

  • Why Google IO 2018 squandered AI leadership to focus on copying Apple's innovations

It's come to the point where if DED writes something you know the competition is doing something right. Everything is just twisting the truth into lies to show that the competition is failing and Apple is winning. Google most definitely didn't squander their lead in AI, they just showed how far ahead they were. If you honestly think that Siri's better than Google Assistant, then you're not even trying anymore.

  • No, Apple won't move the home button and Touch ID to the back of the 'iPhone 8'

So theoretically it can happen yet your headline makes it sound like it definitely won't. It's a rumour, just like the rumour that it would be embedded in the glass. Theoretically either one can be correct at this point.

  • Google faces $9 billion in damages after ripping off Java in Android

Another factually wrong article on here... DED will you ever write something factual other than embellished nonsense to fit a narrative?

  • Apple knew in advance about iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus 'Bendgate' says court filing

3.3 or 7.2 compared to what? The real issue should be how many iPhones out of, say, 100,000 suffered from bending. 3.3 times 0.00001 is still a very small number.

Sounds like they’re playing with numbers to come up with a figure that looks bad.

For example, Note 7 fans said only 1 in 10,000 phones had an overheating issue. Seems reasonable, except that the industry average is closer to 1 in several million.
3.3 to 7.2% MORE likely than prior iPhones to bend. It's not 3.3 or 7.2 out of any number. So basically the iPhone 6 is 3.3% more likely to bend compared to an iPhone 5S. The iPhone 6+ is 7.2% more likely to bend.

  • Apple has been 'all-in' on iPhone X Face ID replacing Touch ID for over a year - report

Just because it was under development for over a year doesn't mean it was the plan all along. They might have been working for under screen TouchID alongside FaceID, just in case TouchID wouldn't be able to be placed under the screen.

John Gruber might as well be Apple PR, he's just going to say whatever it takes to make Apple save face.
  • Apple's iPhone 7 handily outperforms new Google Pixel in early benchmarks

Why would someone buy a phone from a company who makes most of their money by selling your private data -- unless that phone was really, really cheap (cheap as in "free")?
    .
I stopped trusting Google when they drove around in their map cars collecting thousands of TeraBytes of private WiFi data -- and then claimed it was the work of a rogue programmer and they didn't know he had done it (even though those thousands of Terabytes remained on their servers!).
Because Google doesn't sell your private data. They sell advertising spots to advertisers in front of potential target markets. There's a huge difference. At no point does your private data leave Google's hands into anyone else's.

Google deleted all the wifi data that was accidentally collected.

  • Google's Pixel XL priced like Apple's iPhone 7 Plus, but it lacks numerous key features

    DXOMark has lost all creditbility.

Timing the release of their review of the Pixel is obvious they worked together to get maximum buzz.

    Pretty pathetic.

Its painfully obvious that DXOMark got a nice fat paycheck from Google for that high review
Enough already, you guys always come up with conspiracy theories anytime something favours someone other than Apple. If DXoMark had given the iPhone the highest you wouldn't be saying the same for Apple. It could just be that overall the Pixel did take great photos.
