Blind comparison of photography on the iPhone XR versus Google Pixel 3 XL
maciekskontakt said:White balance in iPhone XR is really lacking comparing to Pixel. It feels more like iPhone5s or old Sony TV with that bias and attempt to correct. Some low light is good, but others... hmmm.

Apple highlights glowing iPad Pro reviews ahead of Wednesday release
hentaiboy said:This is probably one of the more balanced reviews:

"If Apple is able to let go a bit and execute better on making sure the software feels as flexible and “advanced” as the hardware, the iPad Pro has legs. If it isn’t able to do that, then the iPad will remain a dead-end. But I have hope. In the shape of an expensive-ass pencil".How the hell is that "more balanced", it's basically a rambling rehash of their 5 previous reviews of Ipads and Ipad pros, same exact complaints. In fact, that's the leitmotiv of all negative "cons" of all reviews. They're boilerplate talking points taken out of a hat, or maybe they're using the post it on dart board method... -
Jony Ive explains design choices for new iPad Pro and 'magical' elements of the refreshed ...

I seems to me to be discounting all of that very hard work by very talented people.Devaluing the engineering IS the point of Apple, the user experience is what is important, how its done should just melt away. That's why they went for FaceID instead of putting some touch ID in the screen.FaceID is hard to do right (no one is doing it except them), probably billions in R&D, but from the user perspective, they don't care and nor should they. It should just work, needing to think about how its done means you did it wrong. If the target for most of their tech were NASA maybe having the tech slightly more visible so someone could get a kudos would make a difference, but even them, in most of their lives, would prefer not having to think about how most of the things they interact with works, except the ones directly relevant to their expertise and their work output. -
