  • Apple unveils new iPad Pro with 3D scanner, trackpad support

Nice update but what others have said about the keyboard price.
Now everyone who claims that "proper trackpad support" was all they needed to use an iPad instead of a Mac can put up or shut up...since the total cost will exceed even that of a MacBook Air...surely price was never their real motivator...right? Right?

  • Apple A14 in 'iPhone 12' said to be as fast as the iPad Pro

The upcoming lightening fast processors combined with Gb wireless speeds will be creating a great vacuum for software to rise up and fill.   Currently hardware seems to be racing far ahead of software.  But that's a familiar cycle and we know from experience that it won't last forever.  The question is:   How will software evolve to fill that void?
In the desktop space, we can always put more power to use. Always. Mobile has yet to use even a fraction of the hardware already out there. Mobile still isn't even utilizing the hardware that was out there 3 years ago.

Apple is so DOOMED!!!!! They'll be bankrupt end of this year. Just wait and see! /s
So are you suggesting I buy more stock like I did on Friday?
Buying now? I dumped all my AAPL @ $300 and will pick them up again in a few months time @ $200! $$$$
You must like paying capital gain taxes.
Yep. I never understood the pump and dump mentality. Have always bought and held. Haven’t sold even one share of AAPL yet.
What is the point of having stock if you don't sell what you purchased for profit later?

Buffett buys and sells Apple constantly. Every buy is later sold at a profit. You don't look at it overall, you look at each buy/sell individually.

  • Safari to reject HTTPS certificates with over thirteen months validity

So my websites and apps that use 2 year certificates purchased from Godaddy are going to be rejected by Safari starting in September?

They have completely lost the plot at this company. Obviously some bizarre takeover occurred in the last few years where lawyers are now running software development.

  • Apple researching all-glass iPhone with wraparound touchscreen

i think that some of the comments ridiculing this research by Apple are missing the point.
They're not just missing the point, they're utterly uninformed nonsense.
Doing fundamental research is good for the industry in general.
Doing the research and filing for a Patent does not mean any product is in the offing this year, next year or ever?
Apple does this with ideas they already know they're not going to make into real products. They do it because they have the time, money, and resources to take silly, impractical ideas and flesh them out farther than anyone else ever has...to prove to themselves that there is nothing of value here. When they're done they can definitively answer whether or not it is something they even could make, let alone want to make. They can play with a prototype and realize, "As we thought, this is stupid, and no one would ever want it."
It then goes in drawer never to be seen again... ..until Samsung sees the patent filing and makes it into a product the following week,
