  • Peloton latest to blame Apple for financial woes

Great news! People buy less crap they don’t need and that ends up on the garage sale circuit, collecting dust in attics and basements, and ultimately being dumped on landfills.

A product that someone NEEDS doesn’t need targeted ads, because users will SEEK it, and if price/performance are good, and web site and reviews can be found with a google search, that’s all that’s needed.

Everything beyond that is hurting the environment for greed.

  • New design Arlo Go 2 launches with LTE, improved video quality

Why would anyone care here about this product without HomeKit support?
There are tens of thousands of more or less interesting products in the marketplace, but this here is called APPLE insider, not “random gadgets insider”, so unless this thing has direct bearing on the Apple ecosystem, an article like this is a waste of my time!!!
Stop posting crap like this, regardless of how many kickbacks you may get.

  • Jony Ive's LoveFrom unveils Terra Carta Seal recognizing corporate sustainability efforts

Is this an exercise in heraldry, or is this supposed to be a recognizable logo, which companies can display to distinguish themselves in the marketplace?

If it’s supposed to be the latter, it’s a horrible design: much too intricate, too colorful => needs to much space, needs to be seen close up, etc.

Would have expected better logo design from such a famous company…

  • Compared: M1 Max 16-inch MacBook Pro versus Mac Pro

The real issue of M1 Max is: NO ECC RAM!!
And unfortunately almost nobody gets why that’s important…

  • Memory leaks in macOS Monterey plague small number of users

memory leaks are a plague; the issue is, some people don’t notice them.
people have phrases like „computers get tired and need to be rebooted after a while“ or „don’t leave apps running, just start, use, quit“, etc. when in fact one should be able to launch all apps at login, and never quit an app until an OS update requires a reboot…

so, there‘s a HUGE difference between not knowing memory leaks are a problem and memory leaks not being a problem
