  • Apple is already being weirdly criticized for an AI effort that hasn't launched yet

This is nothing new. Just this afternoon I was watching Melissa Lee and her team on “Fast Money” - I know, I need to find a better financial news channel ;-) And she was spewing unintelligent comment about Apple. Tim and his team are smart people and this makes perfect sense. This does look like a stop gap solution. They are apparently extending the search deal they have with Google. Just the way got into Silicon business while using Intel, they will do the same with AI solution. Apple already has plenty of AI tech they already deploy with their devices.

  • Foldable iPhone loses notch & resembles iPhone 11 says prolific leaker [u]

The idea of "foldable" died when those clamshell phone died. There is very limited use case for such device and I am sure Apple is not really wasting their time to follow steps of Samsung. I bet there are certainly alternative approaches Apple might be investing their time in. screen technology has changed - Why "foldable"? Why not "Scrollable"? Just imagine screen that rolling into double barreled  scroll. You pull the barrel and the screen appear. The screen dimension could be dynamic on home much it is open. You can go from landscape mode to portrait mode. The edges are one of those micro zip thingy so that it maintains the size and one can hold the phone from just one barrel. The input could be just through the keyboard on screen today. Or, maybe things might get much better so that keyboard is not much used. All the data entry and navigation is done via gesture and voice. The device could be put in the shirt pocket with a clip or it could be put in ladies pursue along with their lipsticks.

  • Apple ordered to pay VirnetX $502.6M in patent infringement row

How many time has Apple been sued over this patent? I realize that apparently Apple has been appealing and haven’t paid a dime (good for you Apple), but this back and forth is causing tax payers pretty penny!

You simply cannot predict sales based on supply chain data. This has never worked and never will. There are far too many variables.
And Timmy has mentioned it enough time and have always proved them wrong. But they keep coming back for more punishment.

  • U.S. government questions Apple over iPhone slowdown debacle

This is really getting ridiculous! First of, I do feel what Apple did, slowing down the phone, was to provide better value for the customer. It allows them to push their buying decision for new phone further down the line. Rechargeable batteries do have some end of life. As far as the speed goes, let's get real - Phones are communication and utility device, they are not solving some mission critical problem where a slowness is impacting the owners need. Yes, Apple did one thing wrong. Not informing their customer that they are switching into that mode. Couldn't they have used the "Power Save" mode to do exactly what they were doing otherwise?

In any case, Apple apologized and I think they have provided a generous deal for battery replacement. What I don't like is some French government action prompted this administration to question Apple and that too from an official who doesn't understand technology. Maybe, we should have out representative go question auto car manufacturer - It is commonly known that there are speed governors in car with electronics where it controls your max speed limit. The car can really go much more faster. Obviously the car companies do it so for the safety of the owner of the car, but also so that it doesn't destroy the engine due to prolonged running of engine at higher speed. Kind of sound familiar, doesn't it.
