Exactly! I'll take two.

Yes there are. But they seem to be much larger then the one in the "elevator". Black boxes are being used for the Cinema Displays I believe so they mean nothing in regards to the new iMac I'd say. I'm sure Apple would be very careful not to have new iMac boxes sitting around in the open during construction. 3 1/2 days we'll know the truth.

Is it just me, or does that white thing thats supposed to hold the 'machine' in place (Dont know its name in english), not fit the display?
It looks like its supposed to hold smaller things... Not a big square thing.

Patience everyone - please. I think some of you would speculate until your blue in the face. Three days isn't a long time to wait, so maybe we should just sit back, relax and see what happens.

Good grief. The blurry photo syndrome! You can make it into anything you want to believe it to be. I suspect on late Monday we'll finally get a glimpse of the iMac or at least updated specs. The folks at Apple must be laughing hysterically about all of this.... Remember, they have not requested the images to be removed. I think that's a clue, don't you?

If you look at the image in photoshop, and only turn on the blue channel, you'll see writing in the upper right, that says "fake"

Yes, it may well be an old display box, but read the comment underneath by the guy who *claims* he took the picture for iPodFrance:

I'm constantly amazed at the "Oh gee, that was a good one" attitude of AI members when hoaxes like this are perpetrated by one of our own. philbot is a jerk for even considering such a selfish and juvenile endeavor.

Sh*t like this gives the Mac rumor community and AI in particular a bad name and everyone applauds it? I don't get it. We're supposed to be here to help each other sift through the signal to noise ratio, not add to it.

Attention Internet Users!

"it's" – contraction of "it is"
"its" – possessive form of the pronoun "it".

It's shameful how grammar on the Internet is losing its accuracy.

Couldn't agree more. It's just pathetic. I guess those who belived it think they don't look as bad if they take it with a smile

What does it really matter anyway? The iMac introduction is less than three days away now. At worst, Phil's hoax was a distraction. And the way some of your lives seem to revolve around the G5 iMac, I think some levity is badly needed. You people take this stuff WAY too seriously. It's just a freakin computer.

I don't quite get your attitude. I see these things as a way to pass time waiting for the newest thing from Apple.

Hoax or real it is always interesting to see how enthusiastic people get whether they buy into it or fight it.

And sometimes these "hoaxes" turn out to be real.

Bring on the next one I say. Late Monday can't get here soon enough.
