Apple posts 2007-009 security update for Leopard, Tiger
Apple on Monday released its ninth security patch of 2007, mending several web-related flaws in Mac OS X Leopard and its Tiger predecessor.
Available immediately as a download for the latest client version of Leopard (35.6MB) as well as Tiger in its PowerPC (15.9MB) and Universal (27.4MB) forms, the update primarily addresses holes in the web plug-ins for Adobe's Flash and Shockwave formats as well as web-oriented code, including Perl, Python, and Ruby. The CUPS printing service, Safari, and Samba (SMB) networking are also key focuses of the update, Apple says. Essential OS components such as Core Foundation and Launch Services have been upgraded for all versions of Mac OS X receiving the patch. Additional fixes are included depending on the operating system in question. Leopard receives a security upgrade to the Quick Look feature in its version of Finder, while Tiger sees fixes to Address Book, ColorSync, iChat, Mail, and Spotlight. Mac OS X Server is not yet included in the list of software requiring the update. |

Also Logic 8.0.1 as well, which I'm WAY more excited about.

Yes! I have been waiting for this since the installation of Abode Flash Player. My Safari has been constantly quitting and requires re launching. Hope this will finally put an end to it

Mac OS X Server
Mac OS X Server is included - the same security updates work on both client and server editions of Mac OS X.
I'd have thought that some of these problems might affect 10.3.9 as well. The lack of a corresponding security update for 10.3.9 might be a sign that 10.3.9 support is being phased out, though there was the QuickTime 7.3.1 update for Panther less than a week ago. |

Yeah security updates are nice... but I'd like to see 10.5 in it's "finished" state. Which is gonna take a bit longer.
*sigh*
Into the at, for.
