i saw pics of that thing on some other site as well.

ugliest piece of crap EVER manufactured.

the basic design isn't too bad, with the slide up top and all, but the styling is absolute crap. looks like some shitty toy walky-talky from the 80s.

yes... easiest on a pc with 2 button mouse -- right click near the end, deselect play and forward slide by slide to the phone -- its not worth it

No kidding. What are the unique features of this phone? Aside from people not wanting to steal it.

Hmm....

Maybe it's just me... Does anyone else think that the phone looks like it belongs to G.I. Joe?

OMG. What the hell were they thinking?

This isnīt real!?!

Is Samsung trying to die?

Is this a multibiliion dollars version of "The Producers"?

I find nothing even remotely compelling about that. Even the buttons looks like something you find on a toy.

"Transformers" is the first word I thought of when I saw that thing.

"Vogon ship" was the two next.

I wanted to add a lot more but that phone makes me speechless. And sick.

That would be why he was killed in the end. Anyone who has a phone like that needs to be dealt with.

Those buttons in the side. Please tell me that they doesnīt extend the upper part of the phone like a compact umbrella. It would be a insult to every engineer on the planet.

I have trouble even stomaching the idea that they would use this as a prop in The Matrix. It's so thoroughly nasty, it would look out of place anywhere.

I like it! I also have the first 60 something episodes of Robotech on DVD, a 12" figure of the Silver Surfer on my desk next to a cut crystal bowl full of lego

Hmm... well the ad itself certainly grabbed my attention, made me more pumped about the movie itself...

But as for the phone, yeah it does look pretty ugly. I'd much rather have whatever phone Morpheus used in the original.

I want one!!!!

To beat the designer of it over the head with.
All the tec of todays phones, made to look like a pice of shit 1990 Motorola.
What's the tagline on the add going to be? how about "because nobody steals a shity phone"

I read the article. The point about the Nokia's 8110 mised the entire fact that the phone was not crap.

It reminds me of some little phaser or communicator the Star Trek people used in #4, the Voyage Home. "Scotty...NOW would be a good time!"

AppleInsider's "journalists" are anything but.

Oh good lord..

Quote:
The phone will have 65K+ color TFT LCD screen, 40 polyphonic ringtone, automatic sliding earpiece utilizing piezoelectric motors (opens and closes with one touch of the button on the side). It's believed this might start out as a US exclusive only.

I wonder if they hired the same guy who designed this:

"..do you remember where you parked the car?"

Yeah, it's dated and overused, but that just makes it all the more perfect for this phone.
