The original Hamster Dance?

Remember when Earthlink used the Hampsterdance.com website to advertise itself? Later I think I found out that the singing was from a Disney cartoon? Now you can't find the ORIGINAL tune anywhere on the internet....least I can't.

Does anybody know where that original sound file can be found??

That's not the original song. And this whole Safari not showing animated gifs correctly thing really makes that page suck.

No, that's not the original one. The original one you could move the hampsters around, and the tune was different.

Actually, no, that's not the original tune either. The hampsters were originally just a bunch of animated gifs. You couldn't move them around either, FotNS.

Man, I remember seeing the old hamster dance years ago.

The song you are looking from is from the Disney animated movie Robin Hood. It's a song from the very beginning of the movie called "Whistle Stop". The hampsterdance it just a clip from it sped up to 2x.

Even better to have snagged the WAV file so I can set up my OWN version of the page so that I can get to it anytime I feel like smiling. And for gosh sakes, it wasn't all THAT long ago. If you want to talk about long ago let's talk about dialing into BBSes back in the 80's looking to download porn that was made up of superchunky bitmapped artwork.

Now THAT was "a long time ago"!
