333MHz DDR SDRAM in next eMac?

What do you think the odds are that we'll see faster 333MHz DDR SDRAM in the next eMacs?

The old 100/133 SDRAM is getting mighty old ... and it's getting to the point where it's hurting performance. Will the eMac follow the iMac's lead with 333 or will we get another eMac with outdated RAM?

The eMac kinda-sorta follows the low-end iMac, which just got DDR across the line (I think - or was that the spring update?). So I expect DDR in the next update of the eMac.

1GHz with a 167MHz bus and DDR333 works out pretty nicely.

Great. More expensive memory which isn't being used.

Well, it is going from 133 MHz to 167 MHz, which will make a very slight difference. And it'll increase the maximum RAM to 2 GB, not that anyone would need 2 GB of RAM in an eMac.

Not quite following you, but at this point, DDR is either the same price or cheaper than old school SDRAM.

Except for if you're crazy enough to buy the extra RAM from Apple when you buy your Mac. Apple charges more for DDR than older 100/133 SDRAM.
