new features in iPod V?

hey all,
im looking at getting a new iPod, but i wanted to know if any of the following features exist now.

Is there any kind of search function, even if it is a very simple one?

Are lyrics viewable?

How does it display an entire album name? Eg. would you be able to read
"Ministry Of Sound:Chillout Sessions Vol. 7"?

that's all i can think of for now, but im sure there's more.

thanks

A) No search functions that I am aware of.

B) Don't know about lyrics. My nano scrolls song titles so it should also do this
as the os is basicly the same.

C) It will show: Song title, Artist and Album if you set it up to do this.

Don't know if it will fit all that onto the screen but I bet it will due to the larger size.

never say never!

A microphone would have been nice.

You can put them as notes...yes, and maybe as NVR said, but i'm not sure.

And yes you can, it scrolls along, just as the other iPods do.

I love you...

Yes the iPod nano does show song lyrics as pasted in iTunes 6.0. Took a bit of time to load and display them though, as least for a track with about 76 lines of lyrics. I don't think I'll put all the lyrics in.

But you see that's why i asked. I previously owned a Mini, and i know that for starters they dont display the album the current-playing song came from. I also know that if you've got a really long artist name eg. "Mr Scruff & The Really Totally Cool HouseHeads" (made that up, Mr Scruff is real, but not the rest) then it wont show it all, it will say "Mr Scruff & The..." and it doesn't scroll the way the song title does.

Do newer iPods scroll through the artist name as well as the song title?

That's what i'd like to know.

Im pretty excited. Ordered a black 5G last night.
Does anyone know of any kind of sleep mode for the screen while your iPod is playing? that would seem like a pretty good way to save battery power to me.

That's all for now. Thanks.

PS. that's cool news about the Nano and the lyrics - i assume iPod 5G will do the same

WOW! That's news to me but not too suprising since I never spend the time learning ALL of the functions of ANY device. Just lazy I guess.

The nano shows the lyrics after the full-screen album art and before the ratings screen.
