iPhone rate plans revealed?

From Looprumors.com...

Apple iPhone Review posts an image of a supposed ad that shows rate plans for the upcoming iPhone.

If true, it appears the iPhone rate plans from Cingular may be the same as Cingular's current plan options: $39.99 a month for 450 minutes, unlimited mobile to mobile calling, and 5,000 night and weekend minutes. The data plans will start at $4.99 a month for 200 messages OR a $19.99 a month data plan for 200 messages plus unlimited Internet and Visual Voicemail.

We caution our readers that the reliability of this report is unverified, and no other information has surfaced regarding the pricing structure for the new iPhone. Additionally, the discounted pricing plans for two phones with different memory sizes makes the posting suspect.

The image they link to is laughably crude. A few phrases borrowed from the Cingular site, some orange type, an image from Apple and a grey box with "rates". No layout, no nothin'.

Really, the hoaxers are even trying any more. How hard would it be to take the actual "coming soon from Cingular and Apple" page and fix it up a bit to show rate plans?

party's over

How did anyone fall for the price on the phone when we already know the price; 4GB model = $499, and 5GB model = $599. What I personally really want is a nano that is a phone, as in iPhone junior.

Collecting my SSD iMac Fry-die. :D
