No one here in Chicago drinks it. Here it's "Old Style" or "Old Style Lite".

A little further north they drink PBR.

I think it's campy "slumming" amongst the hipsters. Kind of a "ha ha, we're drinking pissy beer because the EXPECTED thing to do would be to go for the premium import stuff...but we're rebels!"



I'm probably more right than any of you know.

Pathetic, but true. I was recently at a small music venue and PBR seemed to be the hipster accessory of the evening, even though there was no shortage of money in the room. It's sort of the liquid equivalent of thrift-shop chic.

THAT'S why I never follow the crowds...because this is exactly the kind of dumbass, shallow surface stuff "the crowd" engages in.

"Hey, come on...we're all tying gold-plated barbed wire around our nutsack...try it and you'll be cool too!"

People, on the whole, are flaming idiots to the 7th degree. Once you realize and accept this, you can plan and live your life accordingly.

Thing is...I got a girl drunk last night because she only would drink PBR (and it wasn't no crimp on my wallet)...go figger...

and ladies, no I didn't ploy her with it...she was on her own in that respect...
