Bauer and CCM releasing new skate models sometime this month, and Easton maybe releasing new blade curves for their Synergy sticks. No keynote, no date. Just sit and wait and watch!

The suspense is killing you all, I can tell....

Waiting for the new <a href="http://www.nissandriven.com/" target="_blank">Nissan 350Zs</a> to hit showroom floors so I can take one for a test drive. Now THAT is bigger than MWwhere?

Yah well I also hear Whirlpool is releasing a new line of amusement park rides...you get inside the water tank and it actually spins you around and washes your clothes while they're still on you! Now THATS quality entertainment.

Ah, a Tilt-A-Whirlpool. Sounds fun.

I've heard rumors (sorry can't say from who) that the company who makes the plastic straws with the little bendy things in the one end is going to start making them with the little bendy thing in both ends. They're going for the "Ultimate in ease of use". You'll never have to think about whether you're putting the right end in or not.

Power suckers are royally pissed off, however, saying they want the ability to suck straight or curvy as they choose, and they want to have the option of turning this feature off. Some are saying if they wanted curves, they'd drinking from one of those funny straws (the ones with loops) made for newbies. Others say they've always used a straight straw anyways so they don't even care. These guys will often use a dual straw setup for maximum suction.

I'll try to dig up some pics if my source can get them.

Seb, the last 300Z was awesome... the new Z looks like a wannabe Porsche wrung through a Cubist's imagination after being pelted with bricks...

I *knew* there was something in Berkley's drinking water all these years, now I have indisputable proof - Eugene. Care to make a Photoshop rendition?

I definitely see the cubist angle you're talking about. I kinda like it though.

I don't think it looks like a Porsche. Although I have seen people screw up their 2xx Z's by trying to make them into wannabe porsches (poor Zs ). They've always had a slight resemblance anyhow.

When you look at a sideshot of the 350z, squint your eyes a little and you can definitely see the 240 in it. I like that.

One thing I love about the 350 is that they designed it fresh, from the ground up. All of its chassis, instrumentation, tranny, etc is original to this car. The engine is a derivative of the v-6 used in the altima, but not that close. Not like one of those new Ford T-Birds that is a Lincoln with a different body. The new t-bird even has the same dash as a Lincoln. Pathetic. Although sharing parts across platforms is a common practice with automakers...

Still, you won't find another car with an instrument cluster like the 350s. I like that. <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />

I think the new Z does have porsche elements in it, definitely. But it's still very, very cool.

It's certainly better looking than the <a href="http://www.freshalloy.com/cars/nissan/skyline/r35.html" target="_blank">new skyline GT-R concept</a>, gah, that's just wierd looking

Here ya go Eugene. I went ahead and made a few quick comparison pics.

<a href="http://homepage.mac.com/seb/PhotoAlbum10.html" target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/seb/PhotoAlbum10.html</a>

I guess the Z does share some elements with a Porsche carrera, certainly not a boxter.

But, it's still its own car.

The GTR looks sweet! I think it's quite a bit better looking than the new Z.

While you may say the new Z looks like a Porsche, the rear headlights remind me exactly of the Lexus SC430, which I abhor. Bleh!
