Do the Steelers finally get respect?

This team is going to the Super Bowl, they are tremendous, but I doubt they can beat the Rams who are looking great today.

Hey, they still have to go through the Patriots first.

Nope the steelers still suck. The Ravens stunk, and thanks to Bilick and his strong belief in Grebac "the worst", he screwed one of the Greatest Teams in History.

And The Patriots are better than the Steelers? Ahem, the Patriots are a crappy team who streaked into play-offs...just barely. The Ravens have a tremendous defense and look at how well the Steelers offense did against them.

And it's not like Grbac is a pisspoor QB. he had no pocket. The Steelers D-Line destroyed the Ravens' offense.

But there's no way they can beat the Rams. The Rams are basically unstoppable...

6 Favre interceptions, 45-17 and the offense didn't even break a sweat. That should quell all the water-cooler talk about how the Rams are pure offense. They aren't. The NFC West teams have known this for the last few years. The Rams should have gone to the Super Bowl last year, but they lost in a fluke game to the damn Saints. Not this time. The only thing I abhor is the fact that my Niners will have to jockey for 1st place against 3 very respectable teams nest year. The Rams, the Seahawks and the Cardinals. I know what you're thinking...the Cardinals are fodder...I don't think so. You'll see. The new NFC West is going to be the most interesting division in the league next year.

If that's true, then why did the Patriots get a first round bye, unlike other teams?

I agree that the Steelers are real contenders now. Though I would still wager that the Rams with be the champs this year. If its a Steelers vs Rams Super Bowl the Rams will not have an easy time. Thwy will have to fight hard to win.

Im still waiting for my Seahawks, to kick as much ass as the Mariners.

After the bad call in the Raiders game (by far the worst call I have seen, ever), I would love to see the Steelers in the Super Bowl.

Falcon, you may get your wish. Terrell Owens has turned into the West Coast Randy Mo$$ as far as whining is concerned...at least he performed throughuot the season. The Niners are second guessing themselves and the Cardinals still build their team, the only thing that stands in the way of the Seahawks going into the play-offs is St. Louis...Dauntng, yes, but not impossible.

Yeah, the call on the field was one of the worst calls they could make. Had they just ruled it an incomplete pass from the beginning, there wouldn't be this 'controversy'.

Watch the play again, knowing the rules of the game. It's obvious there was forward motion, and therefore, it was an incomplete pass.

Fran, your partisanship for the Patriot can be the only possible reason that you could say that that call was right.

He clearly did not inted to throw the ball!!!!!!! there was nobody even remotely clear to accept a pass, and the ball had even stopped its downward motion!!!! it's so obviouse. so obviouse...so obviouse!!

The Raiders outplayed the Patriots for 3/4ths of the game with the exeption of the passing rally at the end and in the extra time..... they deserve to be beaten by the Steelers.

And clearly the Steelers will win . . .if not just because of the roar of the cheering FANatics on the home team seats, then because they are better.... they're defensive backfield is better than the Raiders, and their D-line is mean... almost like the old days.

THey will have a tough time against the Rams, especially in that sterile dome . . . .but naturally, I hope they will show some stuff and win.

Anybody who actually watched the fumble unfold would have realized it was a legitimate call...the original call. Anybody who sticks to the book will say it is an incomplete pass, as boneheaded as they are.

...Until somebody really want s to nitpick and say that any forward movement of the body usually includes forward movement of the arms...so when a quarter back runs while holding the ball, his arms are in forward motion...and any time he drops it...the play is rules dead and an incomplete pass...

The absurdity of the explanation directly above is basically equivalent to that of the fumble's reversal.

And pfflam, just as the Packers were rudely awakened last night...so will you be...

Fran, if a book tells you to cut off your testicles when you have jock-itch, are you going to go by the book?

pfflam, it was a fumble to any reasonable person and an incomplete pass to any Patriot fan...or a by-the-book wacko.
