Live in america by victor wooten
Jaco pastorius - self titled
Weather report - heavy weather
Tom waits - swordfishtrombone
Afu ra- the body of the life force
gangstarr- Daily operation
Medeski martin and wood - Notes from the underground
del tha funkee homosapien - I wish my brother george was here(del's first album, not trying to be serious, just funky)

Not sure if this one has been suggested yet but there is an English band called "The Beatiful South". Their music is in no way of any highly artistic music so any elitist may not like it too much. However, they do give a funny twist to the term "lovesong".

I would like to call their songs "Ballads with Attitude"

They´re hysterical. Trust me.

I've been really digging the Hives record, Vini, Vidi, Vici. I'm also looking forward to Queens of The Stoneage's new record. Their last, Rated R was excellent.
