Best remark about iPad so far... - Page 3

I think there is probably a huge commercial use not yet even realized. For instance, medical staff, warehouse managers, port workers, the police and state troopers, and probably hundreds more will probably all at some point be assigned an ipad since they're big enough to see, more portable than a laptop, easier to use than non-touch devices.
This in addition to a whole lot of baby boomers that will fall in love with it because the screen and images are so beautiful and its so easy to use.

Unless Apple comes out with a military spec version of the iPad, there's not a chance it will be used in those environments. If it's anything like the iPhone, it's FAR too fragile to be used in those sorts of environments. There's a reason why you see people in those environments using large, heavily protected PDAs and notebooks, and even those get broken regularly.

The US military is already using iPods (touch, maybe iPhone) as translation devices in Iraq and Afghanistan. Saw this a long time ago.

Your = the possessive of you, as in, "Your name is Tom, right?" or "What is your name?"

You're = a contraction of YOU + ARE as in, "You are right" --> "You're right."
