I didn't imply any such thing. Ever hear of arson? Happens all the time in California. Maybe that is what he meant.
Can you point to the sentence in the article stating he is a member of the Tea Party?

No, sorry, I think it's bad enough that he threatened to blindfold her house and take it off to an isolated farm.

I'm sorry. I don't see how you can defend this man and his threats.

What if he ran up a huge bill by running lots of baths and washing his dogs and children?

Maybe her house was a Muzlim??

Could be - and that would mean it's all ok....in that case we should all join in and kidnap this house and make it do unspeakable things with bacon rinds and whisky...

I've had enough of these houses actually. They come over here, do nothing all day except just sit there.....some of them are painted pink....fag commies.....

Oh. Thank you.

Maybe you're right. Maybe when he read Nancy Pelosi her home address and said "If you want to see your house again then don't pass this legislation" he wasn't threatening to kidnap it.

I'm sure the threats he was making were sort of OK ones, not-too-bad threats, maybe even nice threats, even though the FBI arrested him, and everything.

What sort of threats do you think he was making?

For example? Tell you what, stevegmu, complete the following sentence.

"This man who was arrested by the FBI after he told Nancy Pelosi that if she wanted to see her house again she shouldn't pass the health care legislation was threatening her with..."

They said he recited her home address and said if she wanted to see it again, she would not support the health care overhaul bill that since has been enacted.

Ah, I see, he was going to make her go blind, or steal her street address, but wait she has more than one home.

Sorry Bucko, not looking good for your home team, The Tea Party Terrorists.

He clearly meant that he would buy her a much better house far away in a richer more exotic location and she would not want to see her old one because the new one is so great.

I don't know what he was thinking. You stated he threatened to kill her, which the article you posted does not support. You simply came to your own conclusions and posted them as fact. If he threatened to kill her, do you think maybe the article would have stated so, and that he would have already been charged?

Unnamed sources, we'll find out soon enough, but don't watch Faux Noise, because you can bet your bottom dollar that Faux Noise will make it out that Pelosi threatened to kill this Tea Party Terrorist.

stevegmu, you're quite right. There have been so many death threats in the last few days that when I read that the guy knew her address and said that if she wanted to see her house she should not pass the legislation, I just sort of assumed he was talking about kidnapping her. But you're quite right, he was only talking about burning her house down, and that's perfectly all right and not at all threatening, especially as I'm sure he'd check to see if there was anyone inside before he torched it, he's clearly a patriot.

You mean the actual death threats against E. Cantor, or the fabricated ones by the left?

I would be more reasonable to assume if one says another will not see their house again, something will happen to the house, like arson, rather than to the person.

Virginia Governor: Slavery Not “Significant” Enough to Include in New Confederate Holiday

Quote:
McDonnell said Tuesday that the move was designed to promote tourism in the state, which next year will mark the 150th anniversary of the start of the war. McDonnell said he did not include a reference to slavery because "there were any number of aspects to that conflict between the states. Obviously, it involved slavery. It involved other issues. But I focused on the ones I thought were most significant for Virginia."

Statement of Governor Bob McDonnell

Quote:
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell issued the following statement today regarding the proclamation of Confederate History Month in the Commonwealth:

"The proclamation issued by this Office designating April as Confederate History Month contained a major omission. The failure to include any reference to slavery was a mistake, and for that I apologize to any fellow Virginian who has been offended or disappointed. The abomination of slavery divided our nation, deprived people of their God-given inalienable rights, and led to the Civil War. Slavery was an evil, vicious and inhumane practice which degraded human beings to property, and it has left a stain on the soul of this state and nation. In 2007, the Virginia General Assembly approved a formal statement of "profound regret" for the Commonwealth's history of slavery, which was the right thing to do.

When I signed the Proclamation designating February as Black History Month, and as I look out my window at the Virginia Civil Rights Memorial, I am reminded that, even 150 years later, Virginia's past is inextricably part of our present. The Confederate History Month proclamation issued was solely intended to promote the study of our history, encourage tourism in our state in advance of the 150th Anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War, and recognize Virginia's unique role in the story of America. The Virginia General Assembly unanimously approved the establishment of a Sesquicentennial American Civil War Commission to prepare for and commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the War, in order to promote history and create recognition programs and activities.

As Virginians we carry with us both the burdens and the blessings of our history. Virginia history undeniably includes the fact that we were the Capitol of the Confederacy, the site of more battlefields than any other state, and the home of the signing of the peace agreement at Appomattox. Our history is perhaps best encapsulated in a fact I noted in my Inaugural Address in January: The state that served as the Capitol of the Confederacy was also the first in the nation to elect an African-American governor, my friend, L. Douglas Wilder. America's history has been written in Virginia. We cannot avoid our past; instead we must demand that it be discussed with civility and responsibility. During the commemoration of the Civil War over the next four years, I intend to lead an effort to promote greater understanding and harmony in our state among our citizens."

In addition the Governor announced that the following language will be added to the Proclamation:

WHEREAS, it is important for all Virginians to understand that the institution of slavery led to this war and was an evil and inhumane practice that deprived people of their God-given inalienable rights and all Virginians are thankful for its permanent eradication from our borders, and the study of this time period should reflect upon and learn from this painful part of our history…

FBI arrests California man for threatening Pelosi

Quote:
Gregory Lee Giusti, 48, was arrested at his San Francisco home shortly after noon, said Joseph Schadler, spokesman for the FBI's San Francisco office.

Schadler did not disclose the charges against Giusti, but said he's due before a federal magistrate Thursday morning.

So tomorrow morning (PDT) we'll know for sure what this Tea Party Terrorist will be charged with.

Stay tuned.

So a 'compound' is now associated with terrorism.. By your logic the Kennedy Compound at Hyannis Port is a terror center.

Who are these 'many' militias, other than the 1 or 2 in the news recently? Are you referring to the 35, or so Muslim terror camps throughout the US?

Militia compounds = Tea Party compounds != Kennedy Compound (or any other fill-in-the-blank compound).

All of this has been covered (for the most part) in the (falsely purported) Liberals Gone Wild thread.

Actually I'm saying the poster who said the man threatened to kill her lied to sensationalize the story. Happens all the time with the left. According to the article, he never said he would kill her.
If he said she would never see her cat again, wouldn't you assume he was threatening her cat, and not her?
