In the spirit of positive thinking (since I posted a venting thread earlier), I will now list some random things that make me want to get through another day. Feel free to contribute at will.


Strawberry / Cherry Starburst


Downloading well-recorded, well-labeled hits from one-hit-wonders of the 70's and 80's, whose CD's I would never buy, but whose one song I MUST have.


The theme song to Hawaii Five-O


A pair of perfectly fitted hockey skates


My lady's smile (after all that woman talk earlier, I gotta give it up - she gets me through a lot of times when things are bad).


Our dog, who insists on spinning around three times in one direction, stopping, and then spinning around three times in the other direction before plopping down on her end of the couch, and susbsequently striking a pose so magnetic you are forced to give her some of your pork chops! Resistance is futile.


Movies and television shows that deliver the goods - like Lord of the Rings and Band of Brothers.


Rosati's piiiiiizza...mmmmm. Did I mention Duff Beer? Moose Tracks Ice Cream?

1. Waking up.

2. My free monthly Porn CD in the mail.

3. A good movie, book or TV show.

4. Shrimp Lo Mein. GOOD Shrimp Lo Mein.

5. Cheescake...any kind.

6. That first glass of beer.

7. "You're hired! When do you want to start?!"

Still waiting for that one...

A mouth watering Sirloin or Porterhouse Steak

Listening to truly talented singers on great audio systems.

That feeling that you get when you buy a pair of shoes and they have conformed to our feet yet they still look brand new.

Cologne that smells so good you keep smelling the dab you put on your wrist all day.

Good French Vanilla Ice Cream.

Pralines that make you fear the Cavity Creep will come to get you.

The rush you get from accelerating your car(damn I wish I had a M3)

Ok and let's be honest...the thrill of knowing you just blew your girlfriend away in bed and at that moment she thinks you are a GOD.

Yeah, the blue bag of Skittles vanished conspicuously from the vending machine at my dorm (I think I was the only one who ate them)

Some more things:
Of course, any and all cheescake (how could I have forgotten)
Watching Barry Bonds hit a homerun into McCovey Cove (which happened at 2 of the 3 games I went to last year)
Kiwi-Strawberry Snapple (by far the best flavor... have to hide it in the fridge so my roommates don't steal it)
My Soundsticks
Random smiles from girls I don't know when walking on campus wearing my headphones (not that it happens very often...)

Hey Jamie, maybe you can clear this up for me...just what in THE HELL is Red Bull anyway? Does it have alcohol? I see all these stupid commercials and I have no idea what kind of beverage it is. At first I thought it was one of those Japanese-style energy drinks (anyone ever had "Pocari Sweat"? Bizarre drink for a bizarre name). Then I figured not and guessed it was a non-alcy brew of some kind, but no that can't be right either.

WTF is it exactly? Another Zima-type drink?

Red Bull is a sort of Energy drink, with stuff like caffiene and Taurine in it - ie stuff that makes you bounce off the walls. It is most often drunk not by athletes, but by tired people, or with vodka if you really want to go nuts. (has really wierd effects)


Oh, and stuff that makes me go Mmm...

Noodle Soup, I mean soup, no, noodle soup!

Hmm...sounds suspicious. I wonder what else they put in Red Bull we don't know about? Heheh....

By the way, another thing that makes me wanna go "Mmmmm" is when I'm at my desk, about to put my fist through my monitor (lack of job frustration after much effort to secure an offer), and I play the "Match Game 1975" Sound Track. You might think I'm crazee but I'm tellin' ya - the porn-like vibes, memories of Gene Rayburn's smart-ass comments and the quirky trumpet riffs make you want to get up and DANCE, baby!

1:26" of pure 70's joy that only real memories can bring back. I used to watch that show when I stayed home from school....

I couldn't have said it better myself! I was introduced to it while on holiday in Magaluf where they drink a half pint of vodka mixed with a half pint of <a href="http://www.redbull.com" target="_blank">Red Bull</a>. A couple of those and you go off your head! Now I drink it all the time.

I got some pastrami from the Stop 'n Shop yesterday. I hadn't had any in months. You have to get the NY style. I don't like the stuff that's too lean. I still have some Mayan Sweet onions that I discovered when I was last in Savannah. They're like Vidalias only Vidalias aren't available right now. I sauteed the onions and fried the pastrami. Rye bread is probably preferable but I didn't have any. I have some 12 grain bread instead which is pretty good too. Add a slice of American cheese and some brown mustard, mmmmmm!!

Speaking of Chipwiches, those Klondike chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches are pretty damn good to. Nestle even makes some, but I've only found them at Sam's Club.
