Now Macintosh, Im not going to bash you or yell at you or tell you to shove it, that's just not my style. However, i do have some comments.

First, don't rip off other people's work, especially stuff that's copyrighted. You have a video camera now, right? USE IT!
Second, BE ORIGINAL AND CREATIVE! think of something new, different, more than a slide show, more than random clips put together, make it YOURS.
Third, remember your audience. Movies of inside jokes are great to share with your friends, but no one here would understand it... If your going to show us something make it either funny or interesting, and be sure to give it some substance.
And Last, just stating again: to give a little substance to your "creations". Try to write down an idea for a movie, get some of your friends together and film it. Or when you go out, bring the camera and film. Whatever, but when your editing, be sure to give it a little substance or plot to follow.

As a long trailer for POSV it was great, I want to see that movie again!

I thought Wylie really had Jobs down pat, and Anthony Michael Hall made Gates so nerdily sinister!

Was the background music in your video from the movie?

Not to toot my own horn, Macintosh, but I agree with him. Not only will I be graduating with a Broadcasting and Film degree in May, but I've also worked as a story producer at a TV station for 4 years.

My advice: Always keep thinking about what you want in the end. When you write a script, think of how you want the overall project to feel. When you're shooting, shoot with a purpose: that being the end result. When you go to edit, know how you want the whole project to feel, and then make SPECIFIC decisions with every edit you make to create that feeling.

No, we're not Spielbergs here, but I personally have been around the video editing "block" enough times to have a good idea of what I'm talking about.

By the way, when I see something that I think is good, I'll tell you Macintosh. I'm just trying to help you out.

You didn't do a bad job, for what it is its pretty good. a major point of the critique your getting involves being creative and original.

I see you as that guy, just filming things for the sake of filming them....use your camera and make a short movie involving PCs dominating the world through mind control or something, or leave the computer realm all together and do a chase scene(always fun

I'm no film maker, I'm a photographer and a musican, my brother is a filmaker however, and some of my friends are too, my friends make a lot of skate videos, which is sweet cause they are good skaters, and it helps them get sponserships.
my brother made a trailer and a documentary(small time stuff...for the new york film academy)
my brother ditched it though, he sold his XL1 and his g4 and moved to holland
but the point macintosh is that you have made
A) personal jokes and meaningless dribble
and B) wierd slide shows that involve some form of crude progression thing....

be careful in what you are doing, if your going to make a compilation thing then do something to make it unique, if your going to do original stuff, than make it meaningful and creative...then it will at least appeal to people here and not just your friends.

not saying its not okay to make inside joke videos, but keep them inside, cause to the outside world they are stupid.
