As well, all the apps specifically being designed for the new iPad won't work on the iPhone. Even mine.

1. The new OS is basically an iPhone OS.
2. If I need presentation software, Excel, etc...I use a laptop with this thing called a keyboard.
3. My phone runs contacts, calendars and youtube great. My 4th generation one will be twice as good. Coming to an SDW2001 in August 2010.
4. We'll see about battery life. The screen is what...three times as big? I highly doubt with all those neato features that it will beat an iPhone.
5. Performance compared to WHAT is the question. My iPhone is great, but not compared to my Mac. My MBP is great, but nothing compared to a Mac Pro.

My phone can make calls and take pictures and my MB Pro has greater storage. The iPad is an in-between, supplemental device, not meant to replace anything, except for netbooks.

I don't know that it's a "problem." Like I said, its a cool device. I honestly don't mean to bash it. It's just simply not for me in any way right now. My next purchase will be an upgrade to my 3G iPhone this summer...whatever it's successor is called.
