OK. What is a "reasonable" cost to you?

Like I've said I'd be ok with recovery if this was Bush and not obama. And I think we all know how I felt about Bush. This was to show an bypartisan wish for recovery That means for the sake of us all we need to get out of this situation. Once again do you have a family you help support? That might put a different spin on things. Now of course you can waive a flag of socialism, it'll lead to a bigger disaster, or whatever over a recovery with Obama as leader but that's an opinion.

What were you indicating when you asked about " Any " ?

I wasn't indicating anything. I was asking. You said (ins response to NoahJ):

I was just asking if you really meant any cost, because that would be a little scary.

P.S. Not surprisingly you seem to have either misinterpreted what he said or deliberately twisted it to me what you wanted him to say. He said:

Desperate times sometimes call for desperate measures. Hence I would be ok if this were Bush and not Obama. Just so the country could get back on solid financial footing. Hell! I'd admit I was wrong about NeoRepublican ideals if we could do that.

Yeah, yeah. I know. And you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs. I get it.

Sadly neither one of them has moved us closer to that and have, in fact, moved us in the opposite direction.

Because I wanted a clarification. I wanted to be sure I understood what you meant.

Have you not been reading the news or noticed we're in the worst recession since the Great Depression?

But I suppose you've got another take on all of this. We've already tried the hands off approach.

Yes I understand that. But how are we to fix it. (You're missing the point. Not surprising.) This isn't a we thing.

Ultimately actions boil down to individual actions. That being the case then we need to discuss what individual circumstances exist. Unemployed? OK. What are you doing about your unemployment situation? Sitting around waiting for a government check? Sitting around waiting for someone to hire you? Something else?

Really? When?

Oh, I forgot, that champion of laissez-faire George W. Bush.

then we need to discuss

Look are you a Libertarian? Because my parents were and I was also. A long time ago ( my early 20's ) during the McBride campaign. So I know the party line.

I don't agree with it. It's a nice idea ( no taxes, victimless crimes etc. ). I'm all for the individual but their ideas don't work in the real world.

Sorry but that's why I didn't stay with it.
