It "should"? Could you direct me to some other current cell handset OS that runs on 3 year old hardware? Palm? Whoops, had to completely abandon their old users. Windows Mobile? Whoops, had to completely abandon their old users. Android? Half the devices out there shipped with an outdated version and will never be upgraded by the carrier. Symbian? New version, get a new phone.

Why is it that only Apple is "screwing" early adopters when they've maintained more and longer compatibility than most?
