Would you buy one for around $15 USD?

What about mugs, mousepads, etc?... basically, we can get it printed on just about anything...

Basically, just want to gauge demand... if you're interested, post here... Also, would need a design to put on said items...

pricing would be (tentatively) as such:

t-shirts, 15.99

long sleeve, 20.99

sweatshirt, 24.99

mug, 12.99

mousepad, 12.99

(all USD)

plus shipping. XXL and up are $3 extra, I believe...

What no bumper stickers???

I would buy an AI T-shirt...

Do you plan on using this logo...?

Tiger... what?

I don't quite understand what you're saying here... are you going to make a rival AI t-shirt?

email me or catch me on AIM... (info in profile)

FERRO: I'm not sure that we'll be using that logo. If demand is high enough, i'll have a design contest... or something of the like.

Bumper stickers aren't feasible using the service we're using... sorry.

I'd most definitely buy an AI T-shirt.
I'd go for a shirt to wear around in the house or to play ball in or something like I do with my Palisades grand opening shirt.
The t-shirt, if it were damn cool. If it were a nice, gray t-shirt with some good work on it, then I'd definitely wear it. Perhaps even in public. . .

Yes. I'd be willing to design it.

I'd buy a Mug.

How about you make them PayPal-able with shipping included in the price?

I'd buy a T-shirt straight away.

Might buy a mug. Might buy a cap.

Design suggestion: Have the names of all the cool AI-members on it, which would sadly exclude Leonis, of course

I´m cool as hell so of course there is no question about me. But if not Leonis then who would it include?

I might buy a shirt if the logo was small. I don't like shirts with huge logos accross the front, i prefer a small subdued logo.
I'd buy a mug. Not a t-shirt though, unless of course you're getting Gucci or D&G to design it?

Are mods and admins going to be required to wear these t-shirts whilst going about their duties? <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

If so, I want creative input! And I'm stating here and now, I will not wear a McDonald's-style visor while serving.

I doubt it...

don't worry. I called Giorgio and he's giving a bit of creative input on this one... unfortunately the price is going to go up a bit...

i'm sure it'll be flattering

I seem to recall something about a moderator catsuit that you wear while doing this job. I think I can speak for the rest of us that we're not all that interested in interfering with your fashion choices.

Not to worry. I'll just need to boost the female population at AI to make a mini-T financially viable.

I think you should combine a stylized (pen-stroke type design) Apple with the Spy vs Spy looking characters plotting subterfuge from opposite sides of the Apple.

I think it captures the spirit of this place (and Jonathan's new and very much improved forum captioning)

I'd buy an AppleInsider T-shirt (especially a long sleeved one!) in a HEARTBEAT! YES!

And a coffee mug too, even though I don't drink coffee.

Also, keychain? Static decals? Coo little business card sized ID things, like "Official Member...", just for giggles.

robo is quite fetching in a catsuit.

So we need to get a design (or two or three) for these shirts/mugs etc. Design contest!

I'm going to say that it'd be better to not have designs submitted on the forums, so that people won't be swayed by whose design it is.

If you have a potential design, email it to me.

jonathan at appleinsider dot com.

I will post a new thread with the different designs.

Guidelines:

The Printing Service supports three picture file formats, Bitmaps (BMP), GIF's and JPG's. The logo can be color.. It's probably best to save these things as bitmaps just because it's the most lossless. When sending the design to me, make a .jpg out of it, for ease of viewing in the forums...

Whichever format you decide on using, save all files in RGB color mode. They need to be between 150 and 300 DPI.

The printing options for shirts are 8x10 or 10x8 centered, 6x6 pocket, 10x4 shoulders... so first a logo/slogan needs to be decided upon, then placement... remember, we can have multiple designs to cater to individual tastes... there are no up-front costs to us, they print everything on-demand. We could, theoretically, make a different shirt for everyone... let's hope that doesn't happen, though. I don't want to do the 'forum screen name on the chest' or something like that, though. too difficult.

Happy designing...

Can we make the T´s personally? Like "X from" and then the logo?

Then I want a "CHEETAH from AppleInsider"
