Apple has no competition. Every commercial product which competes directly with an Apple product gives the distinct impression that, Where it is original, it is not good, and where it is good, it...

The old shuffle was never *that* big (unless that young lady is really incredibly small).

That first one is the definition of pathetic. Unfortunately for Android, these types of poor quality devices only hurt the Android image.

Oh, my friend, you wanted pathetic? Here you go. You might also want to try this.

I feel like someone ought to be documenting these train-wrecks before they are completely erased from history. Expect to see many more updates to this thread next week.

It seems the GTab may have just priced itself out of the running. Apparently, there is an expectation that cheap, Asian, Apple product KIRFs are supposed to be inexpensive. Samsung must have deluded themselves into thinking they were "real" competitors.

I suspect they will be substantially cheaper with a carrier subsidy and a high monthly contract.

Sorry for falling a bit behind on the tablet watch. Here is another one for the landfills. I suspect most will never be taken out of the retail box.

RIP, ZenPad. We hardly knew you.

Ah, who am I kidding? May you burn in tablet hell along with the rest of the mindless clones. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Just when I thought I could put this thread to bed for the day, this just hit the wire. For some odd reason, Google is admitting that Android is not optimized for tablets. It seems they are trying to distance themselves from the less than stellar Android tablet experience that is about to be unleashed. The plot thickens.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the tablet infested waters, another zombie pad surfaces to eat your brains, and wallet via contract.

Q1 of 2011? Just in time! To pick up the iPad's sloppy seconds from the holiday season, that is.

The (entirely typical) comments for that article suggest the market that any Android tablet will be selling to-- people for whom the slightest misstep, missing feature or slightly under-baked implementation by Apple are occasions for much hooting, vitriol and dismissal, but who regard manifestly not-ready-for-primetime products by pretty much anyone else as exciting indications of "where the market is headed", complete with much confident braggadocio how pretty soon now the completely amazing and awesome hardware/software combo will be released, and how sweet that will be.

That, or a casual assumption that user experiences are something that can be easily sorted, should someone simply get around to caring about such trivial matters, but, OMG Tegra 2 awesome.
