You're "conveniently" a man who (supposedly) makes huge amounts of money selling solar systems and growing organic veggies. You conveniently don't exploit anyone with regard to labor. You don't harm any land. You somehow are begging to pay more taxes but I guess have no charitable causes or concerns right now. I could go on but really, why bother.

It's called making shit up. The proper response to someone who is just making up a bunch of shit is to call it completely bullshit and ask them to stop.

Well, been away for a while so no idea who Wormhole is.

But I do know people who make a lot of money farming without harming the environment or their workers. Not as much money as they could make without those constraints though, and they do use a heck of a lot of water. Paying more taxes? Mostly rich democrats say that they want this, but then avoid taxes whenever they can.

Good Evening!

Earlier this year in May, I left the UK in my trusty '99 Nissan Almera, and drove 17000 miles around Europe for the summer, sleeping in my passenger seat, when it rained, or wild camped when it was fine. I travelled through the Pyrenees, Alps, and through the entire length of Norway until I reached a foggy Nordkapp, turned around and came back. It didn't all go to (no) plan, so I drove back to the Alps and then back to the Pyrenees, on my way to the Algarve, after much thinking, I realised what I wanted to do with my life, so I drove back to the UK, rented a spare room in Dorset near the New Forest and got a quick job to pay the bills.

I remember some time ago, I was talking to Hassan on here, I think, and I said that if I had my time again, I would have gone to Uni, and became an Astrophysist. Well 3 months in my car and after photographing the milky way on top of perfectly dark mountain at 2AM in a bivi bag - I realised that there is no difference between 18 or 34, if you really want to do something.

Well, as of October, at the age of 35, I am back at Uni, until I become an astrophysist.

I got back a few weeks ago, and tonight I decided to look at 'nova because I have TENS of thousands of photos to share! well I ended up here and saw this thread. I know the side of Chuck Norris' hand well , so good day all of you.!

Apologies to Wormhole for the mistaken identity, but as is well known - trumptman isn't famed for his logical reasoning, or skills of deduction, but I can say, that I sure wasn't participating in this hovel while I was driving the trollstigen, and jumping in Austrian mountain melt water to keep clean.

Of course, trumptman might know fully well that you are not I, and is just playing a conniving game of labelling anyone he wants banned as MarcUK, because he knows Norris would pull the trigger on anyone even remotely me-ish.

Well good night, I am slowly posting pics of my trip over at

http://picasaweb.google.com/nordkappaurora

if you want to take a look. Should be done by Christmas. Off to Scotland at end of September weather permitting, Alps again next May, and maybe Southern Norway next August, and hopefully will buy an RV or small VW campervan before next summer - it really was a bitch in Norway living out a car when it 'monsooned' for 15 days straight.

Since I've never advocated for permabans, it doesn't matter to me but to anyone reading it should be clear that someonedidn't just managed to wander over here, and also conveniently never threw a fit before this because they weren't called out for being a giant bullshit artist.

Love ya Marc and I guess we can take solice in the fact the crap being fed to us is claimed organic!

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde take their interior monologue public but no-one is listening because no-one cares.

Wormhole/MarcUk make me and Trumpt look rational - we should be thankful at least for that.

Wait. Aren't you the guy who got permanently banned from applenova and then opened a new account there under the name MumboJumbo?

This thread is EXCELLENT.

Love Austria, visited the Krimml waterfall on the advice I had from some Dutch I met in Denmark while waiting for the ferry to Norway. Drove the glossglockner road and slept at the carpark at the hotel there with some Italians and we had a spectacular evening thunderstorm which engulfed us, which cleared just before the sun went behind the mountain, causing a massive rainbow over the lake far below.

Krimml was cool, I managed to wade out in the river half a mile downstream, crossed to the otherside holding camera gingerly and got up on the bank, and shot krimml from an angle no one usually sees, then noticed a bridge and trail back to carpark. Oops.

Will be back. It might even become an annual pilgrimage in the summers when exams are over.

Back on topic thou - reading through the above, Who put 2 and 2 together and made 7 ???? Well it seems like it was actually my old mate Tarquinius Superbus. And the trumpt lapped it up....

Well done guys, you've outclassed yourself this time.

Actually, I hope they do genuinely believe we are the same, pretty much confirms that I'm the sanest of that bunch...

Was planning Scotland mid to late sept, I recall you were around the Loch Lomond area last time we spoke, you still there? I can just get there in a long days drive..

Been to Scotland twice now, both times in April and luckily very good weather, would like to see it in the Autumn if the rain can hold off for a few days...

I have a full bike licence, although I havn't ridden for 10 years, Many times I thought how great it would have been to have rode my trip. Probably would have ended up dead though, there were many many times when I saw rocks and debris in the road and was thankful I was in a car - And crazy herds of reindeer on the E6 as I approached the island of Mageroya. Funny, reindeer you expect to be all cure and humerous, but when I was there they were the ugliest shaggiest dirtiest things I'd ever seen. I found out later from talking to a Sami in Kautokeino that they are that way when they lose their winter coat.

Oh well, sadly didn't see any Moose except for one stuffed one in the polar centre as you cross the arctic circle.

By the way, on the radio in Finnmark they play the most beautiful haunting Sami chanting music...

Did see hundreds of bikers all over the Alps, mostly big groups of Germans, about 20-30 at a time. Many times I pulled over at a corner apex and took photos of them from a snails eye view hoping to get a dramatic shot.

I'll upload the pics i took from the Stelvio Pass in Italy, I gained a great vantage point about 3/4 of the way up and took many superzoom photos of bikers ascending the hairpins...and a few knackered cyclists too..

You're definately making an artform out of unhinged nastiness. . Im sure your fellow aspiring Sufis would be proud of you.

You are somewhat right though, I was just dropping by and I saw what I thought was trumptman making an unwarranted and unfair attack on someone in my name, so without knowing what wormhole was/wasn't guilty of, and as I thought it looked like more of trumptmans bullying, I thought I'd step in and say that this was out of order...

I think there is pretty clear evidence that I have been out the country and off the net for a few months...if you think I have been driving from internet cafe to internet cafe all over the most beautiful places in Europe and Scandinavia with nothing better to do than posing as someone else just to have a laugh, then well, perhaps the biggest shortsighted dimwit here isn't Trumptman after all.

..I know I'll be banned as soon as Lundy hits the wires, and thats ok, even a good thing, but I thought it a bit unfair that someone else should be banned because trumptman was being a bully...somewhat funny then that the bully turned out to have a different source.

Just noticed this discussion. I should be clear, I got the Wormhole-is-Marc idea from the post by Sego.
It was stated matter-of-factly, and seemed right.

And as Trumpt points out, I then called him Marc and got answered right away without complaint.

Doesn't really matter, but I thought I should explain myself.

Well, good. At least an acknowledgement that you made a mistake. We all make them. I've made mistakes like this too.

And thanks for keeping this fascinating, instructive thread alive. I've just re-read it, and it's still completely awesome.

Out of morbid curiosity, I've just been reading through the last 3 months of AO to see why the reason for this thread exists....now I see

Got to say - personally id ban Billy Childish. I see what you've been doing old chap. ...Humorous irony in the quote "Kicking the ball into your own net"

Since I've been back, I read that the current cosmological thinking is that there is enough dark matter in the universe to keep the universe expanding forever... I read that Billy thinks that there is some kind of re-occurring loop where he has to explain it all to fundies and athiests for infinity.

I can confirm that Billy is kind of right in his prognosis...Same AO...Same faces...Same BS over and over.

Funny thing ...
They believe there is guy in the sky who helps them wipe their butts, but they can't imagine someone using solar energy, licensing software, licensing artwork, owning several corps, and living on a bio farm. They should see my apples this year, phenomenal. Oh yeah I also have 2 prius one of them modified with plug in technology. That's to hard to believe.

I feel really sad for you, you claim to have the world at your feet and nothing better to do than come here and tell fundies to eat shit and die.

He was but I put him on ignore and that ended that.

Really good to see you doing well. I'm glad you found that direction in your life. Still working on mine. Funny, I did the same thing as you did a few years ago (pursued astrophysics). Gave up on it and regret doing so. Been thinking about starting up again myself.

I started a degree about 7 years ago too and gave up on that. Big mistake I guess as I would have finished by now, and could be doing all the things I really only ever cared about.

Norway changed me, I realised who I am, what my place was in the world, and that its time to step out of the shadow that held me back.

If you regret giving up, change that tomorrow and work your ass off until you are who you want to be

No actually,

I regret registering again, ironically because I thought it unfair that you were being bullied 'in my name' - even though you are a complete stranger to me - perhaps that's the best insight into who I am really.

I have just dispatched a PM message to Lundy to remove this account, as I dont want to participate at this place, under marcUK or any other guise. Those days are over.

I've 'seen the light' so to speak, so have all the fun you want - I hope that everyone else can take me at my word and realise that you (or anyone else for that matter) are nothing to do with me what so ever.

I'll be over at 'Nova occasionally if anyone 'sane' wants contact.

If not, I bid you all farewell.
