NBA Draft Lottery (SPOILER!!)

Holy sh*t~! This draft is now COMPLETEY f*cked up....

13.Milwaukee Bucks
12.Los Angeles Clippers
11.Washington Wizards
10.Miami Heat
9.Phoenix Suns
8.Los Angeles Clippers
7.New York Knicks
6.Cleveland Cavaliers
5.Denver Nuggets
4.Memphis Grizzlies

Top 3...

3.Golden State Warriors
2.Chicago Bulls

and the #1 pick goes to...

1.Houston Rockets

Wow. Maybe the lottery isnt rigged after all, or at least it wasnt this year. This is going to realllllyyy screw up the draft order. I was hoping the Cavs would move up but they got the pick they were supposed to at #6. The BIG problem I see with Houston at #1 is the fact that the Chinese govt will probably not allow 7'5 center Yao Ming (projected as top pick) to go there. They wanted him to go to NY or Golden State. I think Houston might trade the pick to either of those teams. If not it's hard to say what they'll do. Surely with Steve Francis they wont be taking Jay Williams #1.

Also, only 1 of the top 5 picks is an Eastern Conference team. That means the already much stronger West will just get better. Not good for balancing power between the 2 conferences.

Maybe it's fixed... David stern might like the west better

The whole idea of a lottery is retarded. Last place should get first pick god dammit.

Couldn't agree more.

I've always agreed with that thought. Makes sense to me, anyway. But, I've always liked the lottery too. Ad's a little excitement and not that bottom-feeder teams would lose on purpose to get better picks at the end of the season, but I think it works.

BTW, Woods... You had already announced that NY would get the #1 pick. What happened?

Do you think that David Stern and his minions discovered that you somehow knew about his diabolical plan, and changed it at the last minute as not to raise suspicion from the rest of us? Good work Woods! The NBA is forever in your debt!

Sorry man, had to give you some crap for that one.

There's a difference between me saying that they indeed would and thinking that they would. The league had all this junk about letting the media view the lottery process and all that, so I think it wasnt rigged this time to debunk conspiracy theories. I still will not change my thoughts.

NY or Golden State probably still WILL get that #1 pick via trading for it. the main reason for this is due to the fact that both the Warriors and Knicks want Yao Ming, and the Chinese govt do not want yao playing in Houston. Was Houston ever mentioned as a city they would be interested in seeing Yao play in? No, and for that reason I feel the pick will be traded. the only player I see Houston taking is Ming because they already have Stevie Franchise (Steve Francis) and dont need jay Williams in there to complicate things.

Pretty surprising draft lottery though. I think Houston had the 5th best chance of winning the lottery. Cavs had the 6th but sadly did not move up. Ah well.

I really do pity you now Woods. How sad...

1. Ming is overrated. I can't wait to laugh at whatever team takes him. He'll be OK, but he's no saviour.

2. You're right, Houston doesn't need Williams. They will trade thier pick... but for whom?

And finally, I had a chance to talk to Trajan Langdon this weekend and he mentioned that the Cavs had released him. Thier loss. But, he did say that his agent is "talking" to a team in the play-offs. Of course they can't begin any talks until the team's season is over, but I'd be stoked to see him go to the Lakers or the Kings.

LOL! It's yao himself!

Pulease boy, Yao will dominate like no other. So maybe he wont be the next Yinka, but he'll be damn good! 7'5 with a jumper like that, you are outta ya mind!

Why do you pity me for what I just said? All I did was state the info which is true.

And as far as releasing Trajan "these bench splinters are killing me" langdon being "their loss", that's one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time. You make it sound as though the scrub is an All-Star. Great college players dont equal great NBA players, and trajan will be nothing more than a bumb. Ok, so maybe if he works out he'll be a role player.

The Cavs have much more important things to worry about, like keeping that back court they have in Cleveland. Re-signing Ricky Davis is an ABSOLUTE MUST for the franchise i they want any hope of contending in years to come. Andre Miller and ricky Davis would make one of the best young back courts in the league right now. davis is a sure fire pick by me to be a star someday. Should've been in the dunk contest too.

Peace.

Sorry 'bout that Ming, but you're just a poor man's Wang.

And Woods, I pity you for your poor, poor outlook of the NBA. It can't be much fun for you to follow through those eyes...

And yes, I know that Trajan hasn't exactley reached all-star status, but he's a favorite of mine.

Yes, Ricky and Andre would make a bad ass back court... if they can keep Miller. I see him going to the Clippers.

Now, home to watch Sac and LA battle it out. IF Kobe doesn't play who is gonna step up?

Andre Miller isnt a free agent, is he?

Who's gonna step up for the Lakers? The men in white and black stripes will.

the only sure thing in the NBA Draft is that, somehow, someway, the Warriors will figure out how to completely f*ck it up. I stopped being a fan of the NBA because my local team could never make any decent moves (starting with trading Mitch Richmond for Billy Owens back in the day. Run TMC was the sh*t).

Ah, yes the men in black and white stripes really stepped it up for the Lakers last night eh? LOL!

I suppose you're gonna tell me that Stern had his lackeys give all of the calls to the Kings so he could stretch the series out for more TV ratings now.

Sure the Kings got a lot more calls, but that's because they were the aggressors and at their home court. Even then the Lakers were still in it, they just missed their shots in crunch time. Like I said, it'll be a good series.

Signing Miller to a contract extension this summer is the Cavs' biggest priority.

But word around the campfire is that Miller wants out of CLE. So they might try to trade him, because if they don't then they risk getting nothing if he leaves in 2003.
