New iPod - sleep mode?

Hi folks. I haven't spend a lot of time yet looking for a way to make the screen sleep, but I'd like to do this?

Right now, the screen stays on the whole time, and the battery life suffers because of it.

I have the screen brightness turned down, but would love to have it go into sleep mode, saving even more power.

I'm getting 5+- hours out of it on a full charge listening to music. I'm pretty sure that is partly because the screen is on all the time.

Which iPod? Hit the sleep button on the iPod touch to sleep it. The rest should have similar buttons or sleep automatically. If they don't, your settings need changed.

I'm sure my settings need to be changed, but I can't find the settings anywhere?

Which newest one?

The iPod touch has a sleep button on the top left.

The iPod nano has a sleep on the top right.

The iPod classic doesn't, but automatically sleeps unless you've changed the setting.

Ok, it appears the Power button is also the sleep button … thank you.
