You tell me what will happen if Obama eases up on the security procedures and an attack takes place. You tell me what the Republican talking points will be. It's not hard to imagine. I do fault our president for continuing certain policies. But I also don't forget who started the culture of fear and who continually threatens to pull the terror card if anything bad happens.

We can debate all day long about who was the first politician or political party to use fear to persuade voters. But it's hardly debatable that the current administration is just as guilty of using the "terror card" to perpetrate its policies at least as regards the policies germane to this thread.

Is easing up on ineffective security procedures really the same as easing up on effective security procedures?

It's really clear that using a little behavioral profiling would make us much safer and save Grandma and five year olds from being molested. However we all have to be mauled to avoid someone screaming over the fact that they want to equate behavior and race as the same thing and thus be upset. So we all get radiation doses or our genitals groped.

But it was the Democrats who have been in control. They are the ones who've implemented this latest policy (and firmly stood by it by the way.) This one is not the fault of the Republicans. I'll agree that the TSA is (though I'd have to go look at the votes to see how many Democrats also supported the creation of bot the DHS and TSA...I'm guessing more than a few though.)

This is indeed a bi-partisan atrocity, but this latest is 100% in the hands of the current Democrats in power.

Interesting that all those who are finger pointing at Bush/conservatives/Republicans appear to be oblivious to the facts that a) much of what was been done was with the support of the Democrats/liberals (and Obama), and b) all of it has continued (and even expanded and intensified) under Obama and the Democrats and liberals.

I guess it's true that there are none so blind as those who will not see.

The TSA (Terrorizing Schutzstaffel Agency?) now has it in for pilots who know the reality of airport security and go public with their skepticism of the state-sanctioned scaremongering-bullbiscuits that's extending the work of terrorists (if they do indeed exist, outside of the military-industrial complex payroll). America's descent that echoes that of Germany in the 1930s accelerates apace.

Another TSA outrage HERE.

Here we have a world where idiots are put in uniform by corrupt and paranoid agencies, to enforce a law that's based on phony data, all in the name of scaring the public. And when idiots, incapable of independent thought, or propagandized to the point of automatization, are put in uniform, they tend to abuse the power given to them by that uniform. Abu Ghraib? Guantanamo Bay? Soviet gulags? Schutzstaffel? Same sh¡t, different assholes in uniform.

Security, security, security. Every rogue government uses this excuse to lord it over those they allegedly represent, or to take away hard-won rights, using fear as a very effective weapon. It works every time, just like the false-flag terror technique. Sadly, populations don't want to learn, or are scared to resist tyranny: the US (and UK etc.) public are the latest sets of guinea pigs.

In the continued absence of terrorism from the phantoms popularly assigned with the blame, the TSA and other government agencies are taking up the slack.

4th Amendment. RIP.



and btw, genuine terrorists (a very rare breed) don't target airports, for reasons even a 4 year old with commonsense unsullied by propaganda, can understand.

Which is a legitimate reason whereas sitinng her pacemaker as a reason not to get a body scan is wrong and spreads false information.
