The iPad2 will be launched in Januari 2011.

No specifics yet. But rear and front facing cameras and upgraded specs are sure bets.

Next iPad to be better than the current one!

Great rumor.

I fail to see what I'm missing?

The nonsensical idea that Apple will announce the next iPad in January when in reality it won't be spoken of until April when it should be released?

That everyone expects double the RAM and at least one camera?

Yeah it seems like the article is getting it the wrong way round. The last iPad came out in April and the MBP is due an update - it may get a quick refresh in October with Ivy Bridge so I'd say sooner rather than later for this update. At CES, Intel will launch Sandy Bridge, new SSDs and Light Peak so it makes more sense for the MBP to arrive in January with a new design and these features. iPad 2 in April, iPhone 5 in June/July. Mini and iMac between January and April.

The Mac Pro Xeon CPU won't arrive until Q3 2011 which would make an odd refresh time - I wonder if Intel will skip a SB version and go straight to Ivy Bridge with the Xeon to allow them to get 8-cores per CPU. After all, few people would want to upgrade a workstation for a 20% bump in performance but 100% bump certainly (depending on Intel's prices if it's double for the same cost though).
